The same, except my dad's grandparents lived really close by when I was a kid. My LO will not have any grandparents in state, though my in laws are only 1.5-2 hrs away. My parents are across the country.

More! My dad's dad I never met, and my dad's mom lived far away so we saw her maybe once a year...? And she passed away when I was younger too.

The same as me My dad passed away in 2012, so DS was 2 but had only seen him once after he was born and DD wasnt born yet. When I was born I had only 3 grandparents as my moms dad died when she was in her teens.

More because my in-laws are divorced and FIL has remarried, so there's one extra!

More. I had my moms mom and her stepdad. C has both my parents, my grandma and DHs grandparents.

I have to change my answer - more because I have a step dad so he has 3 grandpas instead of two.

Currently the same. All my grandparents were gone by the time I was 15 though. So, if our parents last longer than that (and I seriously hope they do!!!!) then he will have more than me. I REALLY loved my grandparents and it bums me out that I never got to know them as an adult, like my cousins did.

More. My paternal grandfather died just after I was born, whereas M has all 4 grandparents, plus a step grandma. I'm not sure how I'd count them all in the quality vs. quantity department, though

More. I had all 4, but one passed away when I was young. DS has all four, plus 4 living great grandparents as well! I think that's really cool.

the same, she has all 4 of her grandparents, as I did until I was in HS. She also has 2 great grandmas, and a great grandpa (I had both great grandmas for a very blessed long time, and just lost my final great grandma last summer she was 100 years old.) She's lucky to have both sets so close and so involved.

Fewer, only because both sets of grandparents are still alive and married to each other. I had three sets of grandparents when you count the step-grandparents (my dad's parents were both divorced/remarried).

More! Both sets of grandparents are alive; two are divorced but have not remarried, plus one of them has a boyfriend that's unofficially her grandpa. I had 4, but one died when I was young, and was only close to 2 of them and even they I didn't see nearly as much as L will get to see her grandparents. My extended family was not close-knit at all and very dysfunctional, which was one of the things that really bothered me growing up. I married into a wonderful extended family, so not only will L have 4 close grandparents who she sees often (even though they don't live in town) she also has 6 great-grandparents, 4 of which she sees regularly (on my husband's side) and one living great-great grandmother on my husband's side!! I feel so blessed to be able to give L these relationships with her extended family.

LO has all four grandparents. I had all four growing up but they lived far away. I'm excited that our LO will get to see his grandparents much more often. My parents are only 20 min away & DH's are two hours away.
