Ours did, especially since we have one of those kitchen island sorta things. So we've been making it a point to keep the kitchen counters clear... and wow, it makes a big difference!
The kitchen/living room area appears much cleaner, and we're able to wipe down the counters daily. I never realized how dirty those counters were getting, until we started wiping/scrubbing them down every day! Yikes...
Are your kitchen counters covered with random stuff piled up all over them?

At the moment yes because we just got home from a big trip so I have a pile of toys to wash up and bottles etc. we used while in the car. Typically all we keep on them are our knives, coffee maker and mixer. I really like it clutter free, but to be fair don't have enough counter space to accommodate much clutter.

we dont have much counterspace, and have lots of appliances such as deep fryer, kettle, waffle maker, toaster oven, etc so those take up a bit of space

Ugh, yes. It's a daily cleaning battle...I don't know where it all comes from and why it needs to go all in that particular spot lol

Nope, we keep them pretty clear. sometimes our island will get a bit more paper on it that normal but we both like things looking pretty clear!

Nope! I cant stand clutter on them. Sometimes it get piled up a bit, but I clean it up pretty quickly.

not usually my counters - I try to keep those clear, but our kitchen table is where we throw all the extra random stuff so it takes extra motivation and diligence to make sure the table is always cleared!

Ughh, SO cluttered! We have an 8 foot island and it currently has on it:
- laquer tray housing vitamins and various meds, pens, mail
- rice cooker
- slow cooker
- glass cake stand dome (just the dome, the stand broke a long time ago
- Costco sized jar of chocolate covered almonds
- 4 pommellos and a honeydew
- plastic statue of a greyhound

I like to keep my counters as clear as possible but sometimes I can't keep up with the mess that DH leaves in his wake. At a minimum, I do keep the counter where I prepare LO's food clear.

@mrbee: cuz we have a greyhound! It's not often I see greyhound paraphanalia, so when I saw the statue at Home Goods, I had to get it!

Our kitchen is tiny so we try to keep the counters clear. The bar, on the other hand, is always cluttered with stuff. It drives me crazy!

I dont like clutter either, especially my workspace on the kitchen island. Since our kitchen is small, i am always clearing and organizing things.

Never. I despise clutter due to growing up in a really cluttered home. On occasion some dishes will stack up next to the sink if the dishwasher needs unloading, but that's it. And even that drives me crazy.

They very easily get cluttered and covered in junk. I try to clear them off after every meal to keep the mess at bay.
