I know on a questionnaire, I would simply choose 'black,' but really my hair is a dark brownish-black. I'm surprised how light it's getting.

Natural color? It's super super dark (black). But I lightened up for the summer so it's a medium brown now.

@banana: @chopsuey: I used to dye my hair lighter when I was in high school and college. Haven't dyed my hair since.
Hmm, your hair got darker over the years? I think I need to ask my sisters.

Pretty much black, but in the light sometimes it can take on a reddish/brown cast (never been dyed though).

Mine is a dark brown with red highlights in the sun. I feel like it's gotten darker since the baby, or maybe its the digital perm?

Mine is a dark brown naturally and also very brown in the sun. Right now it has some ombre still left in the tips. But it always lightens up towards the end around the summer. It's never been jet black either (only when I've dyed it!)

Naturally a dark brown. But always gets light in the sun. This summer it's gotten pretty light. I often dye it darker. Just dyed it myself last night to a new "blue-black" and it's pretty much jet black now.

Dark brown. Used to be jet black but I think I damaged some follicles back in college with repetitive bleach and dye jobs.
