I live in a big city where a large part of the population is commuting by train or other public transit. This means that the trains are often really crowded in the morning and get quite hot. I'm in the first trimester (10 weeks), but I've been getting really nauseous on the train and I often have to get off to catch a breath and then just catch the next one.
My issue is that where I live, the government provides pregnant women with a badge type thing that says you are pregnant. This badge hangs on your bag to let people know that you're pregnant. If people see this, they're supposed to give up their seat (doesn't always happen). Well I have this badge, but I've felt reluctant to use it because the women I see using it are usually visibly pregnant and in my mind definitely deserving of a seat. If this were you, when would you start to use it (basically when do you think pregnant women deserve to get an automatic seat)? Would you wait until you were visibly pregnant or would you go ahead as soon as you got it? If you commute by public transit, maybe you can let me know about your experiences as well.
