Went for my first check today at 36 weeks and still closed at this point !

It was 35-36 weeks for me! I was already at 3cm by 37 weeks.

1cm at 36 weeks. But I stayed there until I went into labor on my due date.

I was 0 cm at 39 weeks, 5 days but gave birth at 40 weeks, 4 days.

1cm and 50% at 36 weeks. 3cm and 70% at 39 weeks.

I was 2cm at 36 weeks. I progressed to 4cm by my 40 week appointment. My water broke at 40w2d.

At 38 weeks, I was dilated 3CM!

1cm at 36 weeks! Then 2 cm at 38 and 3cm on the day before I went into labor which was 39w2d.

Nothing until active labor both times!

Nothing til labor came on the first time... 2cm at 36 weeks the second time (she arrived almost 4 weeks later though).

I know I was 2cm at my 38 week appointment...maybe 1cm at 37 weeks? I can't remember now if she checked or not. I feel like she did. At my 39 weeks appointment I was "a loose 2-3" and I had him 5 days later.

Barely 1cm at 41 weeks and I went in to labour that night, this was my first baby.

When do they start checking? I'm only 33 weeks, and he hasn't checked yet.

@ValentineMommy: I'm 38w5d and am getting checked for the first time tomorrow. My doc said that it doesn't really tell you anything but sometimes gives ladies false hope that birth is imminent or disappointment that its not. Looking at the all over the place numbers the other bees posted I tend to agree.

I was 3cm at 36 weeks with baby 2.
I think I was 1 cm at 37-38 weeks with baby 1 -
I was closed but softening at 36, 1cm at 37. 38 weeks tonight and have another check. I'm guessing I'll be a little more dilated, cuz this kid likes to ram his head against my cervix.

@ValentineMommy: I had my first check at 36 weeks. Nothing much except a slight drop. At my 37 week she said I was 70% effaced and slightly dilated. We'll see what happens today at 38 weeks 5 days.
