@MaryM: Big hugs!
New job officially starts Monday, but had to do some prep stuff today. Tying up the loose ends from old job is stressful. God seems to send us lots of stuff at the same time, so I'm hoping that the BFP comes as I start the new job and finish up the stuff from the old.

DH got his SA back!
Everything looks to be in normal ranges thanks to Dr Google, except for ph level. His dr won't discuss it with him, and is just telling him to have me discuss it with a specialist.
nectarine / 2192 posts
@Crystal: That is fairly reassuring. How are you doing mentally?
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@Crystal: that's great news! My very limited understanding Is that pH issues can be addressed through diet. But, as with anything with swimmers, it takes 3+ months to see a change.
I'm sitting pretty at 1 DPO. Thank god. I gave DH a break last night because poor guy has the flu, but FF gave us our first "high" rating since the cycle we conceived DD, so YAHOO!!!! Here hoping that loads of bd does the trick... At least we can say we did everything we could.

@MaryM: Hugs! How are you today?
I am back at work, and honestly, after feeling much better, I enjoyed my time in hubby's city. I will move there in a few months, and now I feel much more at home there. It is also nice to know that I found a nice family doctor.
Today, I picked up a package and unwrapped it at the office - a pregnancy book I ordered. Of course my boss decided today to come to my office (which she has not done in 2 years as it is 4 floors up) - LOL! I causually entered the room before her and set my bag on the book

Thanks for the hugs all.
AF showed up so I'm over the emotional hump. I'm not happy with how it happened, but I am happy that I got it all out and DH knows what upsets me. Especially since we're seeing his family tomorrow and his mom can be a baby pusher.
I'm at my moms house and my brothers family lives next door. They have 8 kids. Maybe I'll just steal the 16 month old. She's seriously making my ovaries ache!

@septca: 1 dpo is a great place to be! Sounds like you took care of business this month. Hope your DH feels better!
@marym: holy 8 kids! Sounds like my neighbor's family. I just can't imagine that life. I think I could dig it... maybe. Or maybe I would lose my mind.
AFM, I am still negative on opk at cd12. I'm actually glad to see the negative since it showed so early last month and gave me quite an emotional ride when I was 3 days "late". DH and I started EOD on cd 7 and it's been fun!

@busylizzy111: Glad you averted that mini-crisis, and glad to know I'm not the only one who buys things ahead of time.
AF is due in two days. New job starts in four days. Roller coaster week ahead.

@Crystal: I'm glad everything looks good. My non-expert opinion is that the pH of semen normally isn't considered to majorly influence a man's fertility potential. I really hope that's the case and you have probably have absolutely nothing to worry about in that regard. You DH should have a drink to celebrate!

@MaryM: I'm glad you are feeling better. I know when I need a pick me up I go visit my cousin's twins who are currently 19 months. They are so entertaining

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is well. I'm home after a much needed vacation! Last friday, my mom and I went shopping to get food and stuff for our vacation and at the register she suddenly wasn't feeling well and passed out, an ambulance had to come, brought her to the hospital and they ended up admitting her for 2 nights! She ended up being OK but and she was told she had a vasovagal episode that caused her to faint. Quite scary…Thank GOD I was there because I ended up lowering her to the ground…so frightening…especially to see something like that happen to your parent. UGH. Well thankfully she is FINE and was discharged the day we left for our vacation (thank god!)
So besides all that, it was very relaxing and this is my fertile week so it was actually quite fun trying to sneak the baby dancing in. We kind of felt like horny teenagers hahaha. We shared a room with my grandma, cousin, and aunt to help with the cost of the room and it was interesting…definitely risky but fun, hahaha. We tried BD'ing on the beach in the middle of the night but we did have a few drinks that night and had failure to launch issues…but that's okay. It was still fun lol.
I don't think I O'ed yet as I did continue to temp and OPK and it's not quite giving me that super dark line just yet and it's still a tad early…CD 15 and I typically O around CD 18 or so. But I didn't NOT want to BD just in case……………lol. Sooo…I have a lot of catching up to do. Sorry my post in a novel. Now I'm going to just relax with DH tonight and maybe get another BD session in…if we're not too tired and relaxed as it is!

@nicole112: Thank goodness your mom is ok that sounds so scary. I'm glad you were still able to have some fun.
cherry / 230 posts
@nicole112: omgsh! I'm glad she's okay and love that she got to leave the hospital to go straight to vacation
I'm also still waiting to O. Had a negative opk (CB digital) this a.m. on cd 13. Last month it was incorrectly positive on cd 12. Hope it happens soon! I'm really looking fwd to when ttc is behind me.
Who's testing today????
nectarine / 2192 posts
AF due tomorrow, and my temp is low. I was a little cold, but I'm probably out. So disappointing because I had what I thought was implantation bleeding, and a whole bunch of other signs. In many ways, this wasn't a good time to get pregnant, but this means we will shortly be on cycle 18, and I am losing hope that it will ever happen.
Silver linings: I should get to go to my conference (though if next cycle works, I would be 36 weeks so a little dicey). I won't be starting a new job with morning sickness. We'll be in a hotel this weekend with a jacuzzi, and I don't need to worry about the temperature. With the new job, I will probably be extra tired anyway for the next week or two and good thing I won't have first trimester fatigue on top of that. If I don't deliver until I have been with the new job for a year, I can take a little longer of a maternity leave due to FMLA (until then I get whatever the doctor signs off, with FMLA I can get 12 weeks. I get reduced pay for whatever the doc signs me off). I'm running a race in about a month, so that will be easier. Plus once AF comes, I can go back on my acne medication. I can lose a little weight before I get pregnant. Now due date would be in late May, and since my sister gets summers off, that would be nice to have her around.
Still do disappointed and hopeless.

@AmeliaBedilia: Did you test???
I love the silver linings we have started on this thread, btw. It is good for our souls to remember the positives in this process, as it often seems so negative.

I'm back!! And this time, I'm leaving my lurker status of the last few months to be an active participant on this board.
My husband and I are in the best place we've ever been...it's truly amazing. So as a result of our summer of reaffirming our love, we're ready to TRY again!! We've let this cycle ride out naturally and next cycle, I'll be back on Clomid and we'll attempt our first IUI...assuming this cycle does not result in BFP. I'm not temping yet, but I was using OPKs. We successfully BD'd the day before my positive OPK and the day after, so of course, there is a chance!
So for those of you who are newer to 6mos++ board, I was very active on here for a while, then dropped off the face of the planet for a few months due to a marriage hiccup. But outside of the 3-4 month break from trying, we have been TTC #1 since March of 2013. I'm sad to see that some of you, my friends, are still waiting for your BFPs....I pray for you all often. 2014 has GOT to be the year for us!
@septca: FYI, you and I are TWW twins right now. Today is 2DPO.

@Kate6214: thank you!!
@organicmama: thanks! It was definitely hectic just before vacation but vacation was amazing!
@AmeliaBedilia: I'm sorry but she's not here yet so you just never know...hang in there love
Soo DH and I went to the RE together and it was good! The dr consulted with us and since I'm ovulating any day now, he wants to do a post coital test. He did mention the next step would be clomid and then insemination after that. We are overall healthy people and we are prob in the "unknown" infertility group. Ugh. Whatever. But it made us both feel a bit better!

@sarahnicole218: Welcome back and so glad things are going better!
AF is here. 10 day LP. I'm trying to stay in the moment and forget about it for now. My new job starts Monday, and I have a 4 mile race in a month that I need to be training for. With my time off, I had a lot more time to stalk this board and focus on it, and maybe I need to think about it less.

@ameliabedilia: sorry about AF Hoping you can refocus on work and positive things and get your miracle!
@nicole112: isn't it nice to have a plan?! I'm so glad for yall.
I got my peak fertility solid smiley this morning. But right before I did, DH and I had a quick BD! I really thought today would be out of the question after DS comes barging in bright and early, but thanks to Saturday morning cartoons, we were able to do the deed. Lol! DH has been taking his vitamins lately, too so he felt extra optimistic
How are my 6+ month girls doing today? Any plans for the weekend? We are heading to a family magic and comedy show this afternoon with DS.

@AmeliaBedilia: ((hugs)). I'm sorry. Good luck with your race training. I love running, but a lingering foot injury from my half marathon keeps sidelining me. Build up gradually! I also hope your new job is awesome. I'm excited for you!
@organicmama: Cartoons come in handy in more ways than one!!
I'm surprising DH with dinner reservations at a Brazilian steakhouse for restaurant week tonight. He thinks we're going to Ruth's Chris because I picked out where I want to go, and knows I've been wanting to try Ruth's Chris for a while. He's only been to the Brazilian steakhouse once 10 years ago with his Brazilian ex-gf whose parents owned it, and it was the best meal of his life yadda yadda yadda. I keep telling him we can go for his birthday, but he knows I don't really eat steak, and doesn't want to pay $50 a person, for me to eat salad LOL. I cannot wait to see the look on his face when we pull up tonight!! I've almost spilled the beans maybe 20x this week because I don't do well keeping surprises from him! Oh, and still waiting on a positive opk and today is cd 17. We BD cd 15 so far, and will get a session in today (before we're stuffed with steak of course )
ETA: Whew hew! Glaring positive! Test band is twice as dark as control line! So, so far we've hit O-3, and today is O-1. Not bad, not bad.
ETA2: Does a blazing dark test band mean anything? Like I'm probably ovulating today or something? It was positive last night at 10pm, and then super dark this morning at 11am.

Sorry for the delay, work slammed me this week.
@AmeliaBedilia: I am doing better mentally, thanks for asking. It's nice to be doing at least a small something. I'm so sorry to hear about AF arriving. Is this next cycle the one that would conflict with the conference? Good luck with the new job!!!
@septca: thanks! DH is really committing to a healthier lifestyle, so even if it takes three months, I'm hoping things can be improved. Sounds like you have great timing this month, good luck!
@MrsMcD: DH is *super proud* of his results. Men, ugh. Lol.
@nicole112: wow, how scary! I'm glad to hear your mom is alright!!! And I love how you were able to sneak in some BD, I'm impressed! Sounds like the RE appt went well, I hope he/she can work the right magic to get you your BFP soon.
@organicmama: how long after a positive opk do you usually O? Good luck!
@sarahnicole218: I'm so happy to have you back, and to hear your great marriage news! Congratulations!
@dc yoga bee: sounds like a great night planned! What brand opk is it? Either way, get to it girl!

@Crystal: Babi brand this time.
@organicmama: yep, AM bd accomplished! We hadn't been as diligent bd'ing leading up to fertile week, but I'm glad we are hitting the microwindow nonetheless.

@dc yoga bee: yay for the positive OPK! I just started using the Babi brand this cycle & I noticed that the test line is much wider & darker. It was also blazing positive twice, once at the end of the week, faded a few days & then positive again a few days after. I think I ovulated twice this cycle!
@organicmama: yay for getting in your BD time! Have a great time at the magic show!
@AmeliaBedilia: sorry about AF's arrival. I hope you are pampering yourself this weekend.
@nicole112: yay for good news from your RE. I hope you are able to get your BFP this cycle. I've seen/heard of many bees who have RE consults lined up & then not have to utilize them as they get their BFPs the cycle before they start meds.
@sarahnicole218: I'm so happy to hear that you & your DH are so much stronger & have rekindled your love for one another!
Not much going on for me, I have my WTF/IVF consult on Monday. But I am hoping that maybe, just maybe I can get my BFP & take home baby before having to go the next step of my IF journey. I'm hoping this super moon month is auspicious for all of us!

Bump my POAS date back to September 11. It seems like my body decided that after 3 months of no AF it needed to make up for it.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@lazypanda: Whoa! I've never heard of ovulating twice in a month!!
@Marfi: I remember your limbo. Yay for AF (in an odd sense)
AFM, I should be ovulating today. I used an opk with FMU, and it was still positive. I'll test again at 11 to see if it starts fading or whatnot. Dinner was really good last night!
cherry / 230 posts
@crystal: I think I will be Oing today? I can't test again with the digital opk cuz it's stuck on smiley face! Oh well. Weird thing is I'm having ZERO O cramps/pains. That is unusual for me. We liked the a.m. BD yesterday so much we had a repeat this morning! Lol! Maybe that will do the trick this time.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@organicmama: I'm all for morning bd'ing. It takes the pressure off of "needing to get it done."
kiwi / 636 posts
@dc yoga bee: some fraternal twins are naturally conceived because women may ovulate twice. I never thought much about it before, but it sorta makes sense because my aunt & uncle are fraternal twins & I know my grandparents were not on fertility meds! Then again, I could have had a surge, egg didn't release, & then body tried again to surge & finally did release one? Eh, we'll see how my POAS goes in 1.5 weeks, unless my RE decides to give me an u/s on Monday, maybe they'll be able to tell if I've ovulated twice.
@Marfi: I hope the provera helps kick start your BFP cycle. I don't miss my first year of TTC since I never knew when I would get my period & ranging between 7 day to 80+ day cycles.
@organicmama: BD twice in a day? I'm impressed! I hope it does the trick for you!
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@organicmama: get it, girl! Good luck!
DH and I got in a morning session today. I think I'll O Tuesday, so
Were on our ED schedule til Wednesday, wish us luck!
@Marfi: that's great!!!! Must feel good to be able to start fresh.
@lazypanda: that's really interesting! FX for twins! I have an ultrasound on Friday, my first one ever.
@dc yoga bee: I'm with you- it's nice to be able to focus on it and get it out of the way. That sounds bad, but I mean it's nice to do it without having to worry about having to make time for it between the gym/make dinner/ etc that happens in the evenings.
nectarine / 2192 posts
I'm a mess today- a mix of TTC frustration, AF hormones, starting back to work tomorrow and some stress from my old job. DH thinks we should take this cycle "off," and just give my body a rest. I am feeling like we need a plan- like 3 cycles of femara, then HSG, 3 more cycles, month off, 3 cycles of clomid, then give up. I am contemplating just biting the bullet and doing the HSG and just paying out of pocket. It will be so hard to balance schedules between new job, OB who is hard to get into, timing it right during my cycle, and I really want DH to be there if I do. It just seems like a mess and I want to put my head under a pillow.
