@nicole112: what day was the draw done? Levels can fluctuate a lot throughout your cycle.

@MrsMccarthy: That prob would have helped when I posted it, lol. That was CD 21! I feel like my progesterone is low...

@nicole112: Different labs use different scales.Everything I read on google says progesterone needs to be over 10. I accidentally had mine tested 4DPO, and not 7DPO. My results were 5.2, and my OBGYN said anything over 1.2 confirms ovulation and would not treat me for low progesterone. I would look to see if it gives you the scale on your test, or call the office.

@dc yoga bee: Thanks lady! I see my obgyn Thursday so I think I'm going to ask what she thinks… It's so annoying. All these little things get me thinking and drive me crazy!

@nicole112: I just saw my RE and we went over the same things... This month (1st round of clomid) at 7 dpo my progesterone was 15 and estrogen was 128 and she was happy with those levels. Last month at 7 dpo my levels were 10.something and 64, resp. That was without the clomid. And at those levels she wanted to "superovulate" me with clomid. So I think you could definitely ask the dr's opinion with those numbers. But honestly I don't really know since there could be other factors to consider (age, history, whatever else doctors know that I don't) Glad your appt is soon!

I'm officially joining August. From my hotel room where DH is snoring next to me and DS is in the room next door with the in laws. Ahh, we live the crazy life on a Saturday night, don't we?
CD: 1
Cycle: it's complicated, but > 20
TTC #2
Back story: After NTNP for 2 1/2 years, we decided to get with it in October 2013. I'm 34. DH is 38. Took first round of clomid last month. CB digital opk showed peak (not high, PEAK) fertility at cd 12. Had pretty intense O pains on cd 13. Since I just got AF tonight (cd 30) I'm assuming CB digital opks tricked me! I don't think I o'd until cd 15 or 16. So our BD timing was not optimal. So this month the plan is clomid and BDing every day or EOD from cd 10-20. Prayers please! Lol!
grapefruit / 4703 posts
@nicole112: You can't read too much into the FSH and LH, because it's the wrong day to test those (should be done on day 3) but ask her about your TSH (thyroid) too - for TTC it should be under 2, but under 4 is still generally accepted as 'normal' so some drs won't mention it.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@organicmama: Oh no, AF just started!?!? I'm sorry. I used CBFM for 6 months, and I started wondering if those sticks were tricking me as well, and we stopped bd'ing too soon. We are going for EOD (I always say ED, but let's get real LOL) from 10-20. I ordered the babi brand opks from Amazon. I think I got 50 for $11.99 so I can test twice a day. They are apparently really easy to read. Good luck this month!

@DC yoga bee: yes that sneaky witch came in all stealth-mode. But it's all good. Glad for some closure on that craziness. About those opks, what a crock! I spent $40 just to be tricked?! I may order some cheap, non-complicated ones, too...

@dc yoga bee: I love Babi's, very clear!
@organicmama: I'm so sorry about AF Sending tons of luck to you this cycle

@organicmama: Boo, I'm sorry about AF! I wonder if the early positive OPKs were because of the timing with the clomid? I can't find any especially reliable source that says so, but, I've heard a few times that you should wait to do OPKs until a few days after you finish your clomid and/or that you should keep going for 5 more days after getting an initial positive result.

@lilyofthewest: Interesting! I'm not on clomid, or any other meds so I wonder why mine would've been early (if they were).

Hello Ladies! I am just updating AF came a few days ago. My husband and I have decided to take this month off TTC and just have some fun drinking lots of wine eating sushi and having sex without pillows under my butt after. So, I will be a cheerleader this month for all your amazig women! Best of luck everyone and hopefully I will NOT see many of you on the September TTC boards. hehe!

@nicole112: I know in snowdrop and several other cases they were ovulating but not strongly enough so perhaps progesterone or clomid will help. I hope it's something easily fixable and that you are KU immediately after if not sooner!
kiwi / 636 posts
@nicole112: I would echo @Shutterbug: about the tests being done on cd3. My RE says anything over 10 is good for 7dpo progesterone levels. I also would ask about the AMH being tested as I recall that being a required lab work up before my initial RE consult. Since I don't always ovulate on my own, clomid makes me ovulate regularly (& also with 2-3 decent sized follicles). I hope you are able to get answers from your doctor. I know that a few of my friends had good luck with low dose clomid without u/s monitoring. I have the monitoring because I'm on the highest dosage & have been getting the trigger shots.

@nicole112: it helps to ask "do you think clomid would be helpful in my situation?" And not a leading "will you write me for clomid?" but also hang in there! It can take a little longer even without problems...

@ctegge0416: Aw, sorry about AF. A month of wine, sushi, and sex sounds decadently lovely. Thanks for hanging around to cheerlead!

@GoGoSnoGirl: Paging you over here re: your HSG post on the July thread... like @OrganicMama said, I also have tubal issues that impact TTC. I am so sorry that your HSG results were a little wonky. I am happy to share my experience if you need any advice or support. Good luck with the RE!

Good morning!!
CD8 here. Hanging out gearing up to start our EOD... and then ED... BD. We went house hunting this weekend and have a pretty good plan in place for moving to our forever home... but DH wants to be KU before we make an offer because the house we are looking at is really more of a "3 kid" house and we want to be sure we are heading in that direction. I told him we better make the most of this month, then. We're gonna party like we don't have a toddler.

So, y'all know that sweetie and I were in Jackson, WY last week. While we were driving in to Grand Teton National Park, I spotted this sign and demanded that we stop at it for a photo op, citing the hilarity should I get knocked up on the trip. (Gros ventre means big/fat stomach/belly)
pear / 1697 posts
I've been POASing x3 days now even though I'm only 8 or 9 DPO. Almost missed this because I was so sure it would be negative this early. Looks like if things go well, I am going to get gros ventre from this trip after all.

@lilyofthewest: @DC yoga bee: The nurse from RE's office just called and told me AGAIN that my HCG levels from last week we're negative (uhh, thanks. Cuz i had almost forgotten about that?!?) and that my progesterone and estrogen were low so I should expect AF if she hadn't already showed. I tried to ask about the opk being wrong but she just said when it turns positive, be intimate that day and two days after. And that hopefully the clomid would correct my luteal phase. I did have those severe O cramps on cd 13 so not sure if I could have O'd on cd 15 or 16? Who knows! Yay for round 2 of clomid!
@ctegge0416: sounds like a wonderful plan! And for some reason, every time I see your name I envision a steggasaurus (sp?). What's up with that?
pear / 1697 posts
@septca: I know, I know! I did dunk two more cheapies, which were less photogenic, but also positive. I would have a FRER if I hadn't used it yesterday when I thought maaaaaybe I saw a line on a cheapie. There are more coming via Amazon tomorrow, so, I'm going to refrain from paying supermarket prices and just wait for UPS.

@lilyofthewest: Eep!! So exciting!
I'm cd 5. I saw a deal for fertility friend for $24 for the year, and I bought it. I don't even temp but I love all the analyzers and data it includes. We've had 6 cycles with a good score, and 2 cycles with a high score for bd'ing. We will start eod tomorrow, and hoping for a high score. Drinking loads of tea, making my own meals, and exercising.

Sweetie posed for pictures with the sign too, and says I can share one.
Sweetie made me breakfast this morning (eggs, sausage, coffee, nom!)

@organicmama: Is it possible you had a long surge pre-O or that you geared up to O (hence the +OPK) but didn't actually?

@lilyofthewest: Ha ha. Now I am stalking the pics of you and your husband to see if I know you (since we live in the same town), but I don't.

@lilyofthewest: I am excited to cheer everyone on this month! I have a feeling it is going to be a big month of BFP! Looks like starting with you, OH MY GOODNESS! Love your pictures too! I second FRER like @septca:!

@organicmama: HAHA! That made my day. I wish I could take credit for the artwork, but I can't it was google images.

@dc yoga bee: The analyzers are a lot of fun! Sounds like an excellent plan this month

@septca: I do this with any/all pictures of DC bees. None I've recognized yet, but, I figure it is bound to happen eventually.

@lilyofthewest: Congrats!!!
Get an FRER, stat!
Thank you so much to everyone for the kind words and virtual hugs. It was an extraordinarily rough day... why can't we all just be the kind that magically and easily gets the BFPs?
I needed a few days off the POAS boards to get myself back to a good place mentally, but I am back now!
Temp dipped this morning, so I am anticipating AF either later today or tomorrow.
ALSO, I have a follow up Dr appt to review the blood tests I took last week. I am sure I will be back with tons of questions about your experience with next steps. I am happy to feel proactive about the situation, but oddly nervous about what will be found.

@septca: I love the idea of a forever home. We are currently doing some upgrades to ours. It doesn't feel like a forever home (kinda small, small yard, too close to other houses) but I really like the comfort of having a low mortgage payment that never causes us any stress no matter what happens with our jobs. (Well, unless we both became invalids and couldn't work). I also like our neighbors and the location. But idk what the future holds. I'm with you. If we have another kiddo, this house might get too small REALLY quick. Also, I don't have a chart. I just track on My Days app. Temping every day makes me a lunatic.
@lilyofthewest: CONGRATS!!!! wow! That's some great news and I love the pics. Definitely a great photo opp captured
@ctegge0416: yes! Your new profile pic!!
@lindsayinny: well I guess that's always a possibility that I didn't ever O. But she looked at my 7 dpo bloodwork and said that I had... she also did an u/s on my first consult and saw a follicle about to be released so I feel like Oing must happen. But again, who knows. I'm hoping 10 days of ed or EOD will clear up the confusion.
