You would think with all these new toys my LO's got for Christmas they would be entertained, but they play with sometime for 3-5 minutes and they are over it. Less is more I suppose! They were like this before all the Christmas gifts though, I'm not sure how normal it is to only play with something for a few minutes and move on to the next, or be bored. What age do they start staying focused on one activity a bit longer? How long does your LO stay entertained with one activity or toy?

Id say 5 mins tops for independent play. If I get down on the floor and play with her, I can get perhaps 15 mins out of her with one toy, maybe 20 painting/baking.

She'll play with her new kitchen and accessories for an hour plus alone, but other toys for shorter amounts. Average 20 minutes.

30 minutes? I think she got more focused around 3. It depends on what she is playing with. She can colour or do puzzles for an hour.

At 22 months, 15 min is pretty average unless I am playing with him. Then maybe 20-30 min.
