I feel like I already know the answer to this question and I know I'm being paranoid, but that's just me. I've felt most of the baby's movement down low lately, to the point where the last couple of days he's literally kicking me in the crotch. Today at the doctor, the midwife heard his heartbeat in the upper left of my belly. They didn't say anything, and I'm only 27 weeks, but I'm assuming he's currently breech. Is that pretty common early on and if you know your baby was breech in the second trimester or early 3rd, did they turn at a certain point?
I guess I just need some reassurance
And then also... if your baby is breech, how can they tell once you get close to labor? Feeling around? Heartbeat? In other words, how do they know if you need to schedule a c-section -- or do they not, and it ends up being an emergency c? I ask this because my chiropractor has mentioned that there is a gentle technique for turning the baby, but I don't know how you would know, when you get closer to your EDD, that it's necessary to do. Obviously I'd rather try that than have a C-section
Anyway... I feel silly asking all this at 27 weeks, but I just though it couldn't hurt!
