Ha! People always ask me if my girl is a boy or a girl when I'm carrying her...and I'm usually thinking...seriously, the pink pants and bow didn't give it away?!

I hardly get comments anymore but when she was a newborn people would constantly tell me she must be uncomfortable in the sling and that I needed to let her "spread out."

I always have people ask me if DS can breathe when he's in the Moby. Yep, he's just cozy in there

People have been telling me since W was about 3 months old, "you won't be able to carry him like that much longer!" I now laugh and say, "they've been telling me that for over a year now!"

Or when he's wrapped on my back people ask how I got him up there and I mimick how I superman toss him and on more than one occasion someone has exclaimed, "is that safe!?" And I always respond, "probably not..." and walk away, hahahahaha. Obviously I wouldn't do it if it wasn't safe!

I just always get things like "that's such a great idea!" when wearing LO in the Ergo. It's usually older ladies--I guess they're not familiar with the SSCs. Interestingly enough, my DS is never mistaken for a girl, even though we make a point to buy gender-neutral clothing!

@emg86: Its HOT! I recently got a ring sling though, and it is much cooler. If DS still likes being worn when he's got good head control I might splurge on a woven wrap.

@grizz: Yeah, I loved my ring sling until she stopped wanting her feet in the froggie position...then I could never figure out how to get her legs out and not have them turn purple. I need to work on it! We've been using our Boba SSC and love it so much! Maybe I'll give the Moby a try when it cools down a little.

@emg86: make sure the fabric isn't bunched up under her knees. You want there to be fabric up to her knees, just not extra bunched up there if that makes any sense.

I was putting my newborn in my new Action Baby Carrier and because she is small I crisscross the straps in the back. I have to do one strap, then pick her up, then do the other.

Well the other day as we were getting out of the car to go into the store, she was crying so I just quickly picked her up without getting that first strap done. (I'm programmed to the Ergo still!) Anyway this nice lady was walking by and totally helped me out. And she was cool about it... not all judgmental like some people get.

I just get lots of "wow that looks cozy!" and "he's half the size of you!".

I wore Lorelei in a 5K yesterday and even jogged some. Several people were impressed at my finish time considering my "passenger" and a few were very impressed that I was able to nurse and walk at the same time.

People always just say how cute she looks and how comfortable -- and when she's forward facing in the sling they want to know where her feet are hahaha

@pastemoo: It's a HotSling adjustable sling - it is sooooooo comfortable. I've always said I could carry LO all day in that thing, and yup, turns out I can!

@pastemoo: yes, at like 5!! I kept her out WAY past her bedtime
