I know many of the bees wash their baby's clothes with free and clear detergent, but do you also wash your clothes with free and clear detergent or do you use regular detergent?
If you wash your clothes in regular detergent, but your LO's clothes in free and clear, did you LO have an (allergic) reaction to your detergent when they come in contact with your clothes?

Everything in our house is washed with All Free & Clear. I am not a fan of fragrance detergent.

Everything in our house is washed with cheapo liquid detergent. Even cloth diapers. Done.
We once tried washing my daughter's diapers in borax, and it gave her a rash. I'd personally say try out the simpliest/cheapest option and then readjust if you need to. Dreft is a scam, imho, except for a small group who truly has sensitive skin.

I've occasionally used regular detergent on lo's stuff since she was a newborn and nothing ever happened. We still all switched to free and clear once our detergent ran out though!

We use Dreft on the baby's stuff and my bras/nursing pads and regular All on our other things. She's never had a bad reaction, and when I run out of the Dreft we got at our showers (still using the same bottle six months later), I'll probably switch to regular.

We just switched over to a free and clear one (whichever brand of a free and clear one is on sale). LO isn't here yet, but we were out and I wanted to start washing baby clothes, so we made the switch.
I have to admit, I sort of miss the delicious smell of freshly washed clothes. Now our clothes don't smell at all, which I realize is probably better, but that fresh laundry smell is so nice!

We use country save with everything (including cloth diapers), but my sister used regular tide w her LO from day 1 and never had any problems. She didn't CD, though.

We use Tide Free for everything, but Xander hasn't had any issues when he comes into contact with other people's clothes, so I don't think it matters for us.

Everything is washed in Free and Clear. I got tired of having to buy more than one type of detergent and since LOs and DH's hunting clothes were washed in F&C, I just started washing all of our clothes in it. If LO are in contact with clothes not washed in F&C (like at the sitter's house) they have not had a reaction.

We are Tide Free and Clear for the entire household, we used to do regular Tide, but it was easier to just switch it all. No complaints here!

I was trying to decide if I need to purchase free and clear detergent and get rid of my current one. Guess I'll give it a try and see how DS reacts to it when he's here. If he has a reaction, then I'll switch. Thanks for letting me know your LO was okay with regular detergent!

7th Gen free and clear. Been using it for a while. I love the smell of Dreft but when I saw the price I just laughed.

I use Ecos detergent from Costco for everything. I've used it for years and since it's free of artificial dyes/scents and all that other crap I felt no need to use a special detergent for baby. It's worked out great so far.
ETA: Just saw you use Ecos too. I've had no issues with it, I don't use the lavender kind though.

I'm allergic to certain things in detergents. Tide or Tide with Bleach are especially bad for my skin, so we wash all our clothes in a free & clear detergent. Typically I buy All, but when we run out of giant stash (couponing gone amok) we have Purex free and clear to try. We will likely wash the baby's clothes in the same detergent, except cloth diapers which might need something else. I've heard the Purex f & c can work for them, but if it doesn't work out I was thinking of using 7th Generation baby detergent.
