I thought this graphic was cool! Do you have anyone near you that named their baby the most popular name in your state in 2012?
I know a baby that is Sophia, but Emma is South Carolina's number one.

That's really interesting. Wow, I can't believe the girl names! Same 2 names in like 90% of the states!

I know 1 Emma & 1 Liam (ironically his sister is actually a Sophia.) so not too bad for the number one names in my state.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I agree. What's up with bashing the Sunshine State? It's 80 degrees and beautiful here today and the color and clarity of the ocean rivals the Seychelles. The rest of the country is just jealous!

yeah @honeybear: the rest of the states are just jealous! Lol

@honeybear: @Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I didn't get the Florida thing, either. But it's interesting that for both charts, Florida is completely different.

My best friend has an Emma that is just over a year old. Emma is taking over the country! I like the way they illustrated this chart.

I really like this! My family is from Georgia. Both my dad and my brother are named William but they go by their middle names.

I live in NC. I don't know any baby Williams, but I know lots of baby Liams! And no Emmas.

@Koolbreeze: I think they count Liam in the William category. They probably put all the different types and spellings of names under one name category.
