I was reading the swarm post on baby-proofing and it got me thinking that some of these things we aren't going to be able to do.
Things like socket covers and cabinet latches and that type of thing are going to be easy enough, and we don't have blinds, just curtains. I think that whoever moves into the neighboring apartment will be okay with having a babygate at the end of our hall (especially if I put it up before they get a new tenant, haha). However, turning down the water heater would turn it down for the other 4 apartments and would have to be a request through the LL. And anchoring things into our plaster and lath walls is going to be difficult to impossible due to the type of wall and the likelihood that it would ruin the walls (and still not secure anything well).
Any other apartment-living bees have any tips or products for baby-proofing that helped you keep your kiddos safe while not violating your lease provisions or damaging the apartment?
When we do move to a home in the next 5 years we'll look at more permanent options again.
