@honeybear: yeah, we thought it was pretty cool that we're the first people to live in this unit. BUT, we're finding that we're pretty much guinea pigs and all the new construction stuff has to be ironed out with us in it. It's a pain.

OMG the hole is huge!

@T.H.O.U.: I called DH about it, and he's ready to move out, lol.

They just finished fixing the actual pipe, so now I get to figure out how long it'll take for them to make me a new wall.

I'm worried about the dust in there...This is gonna cost me a lot more work than I really was wanting to deal with, I think.

It's "fixed". It's patched, but it has to dry a day, then he comes back with another coat of wall stuff (I'm sorry, I don't know what it is) tomorrow, and then repeat again on Thursday. Meanwhile, my bed is sideways against the wall, and I'm told we have to leave the space by the wall.

DH is sooo beyond angry about all this.

@ninja: The manager lady is acting pretty much like she doesn't care about it. Like it's no big deal we have a big ugly hole in the wall, or that our bed is displaced for 2 nights, or that it's going to make it even more difficult for me, with my stitches, to get in and out of bed now.

We're trying to figure out who is HER boss, but we get to a dead end with no way of finding out who is above her.

@T.H.O.U.: Not a horrible idea. We can move it over and make it a pain every day for them to have to move it back to work on the wall. Then move it back again tomorrow so that they have to move again on Thursday. I just dare them to say something.

That is if DH and I can move it, but we can at least try. By the time DH comes home from work, the wall must be dry enough to have the bed somewhat near it, anyways.

DH got home last night and was livid that there was dust all over our bedroom and that they left the bed where they moved it to. He pushed it back, and I had to wash all our sheets and blankets and dust along the edge of our bed and window sill.

He's not mad that they made the hole to fix the AC. He's mad cause they didn't clean up after themselves and are planning to come back today and do more wall fixing, and he's worried about the dust for when they sand it.

He's all ready to move out, now. Hopefully we'll find a place to move to, soon.
