Is there baby shower invitation etiquette as there is for weddings?
Is there a rule to baby registries being on the invite?

It's pretty common these days for registry info to be included.
I've actually included that we are cloth diapering so
"in lieu of disposables check out..." AND to "refrain from buying Johnson & Johnson baby products".We only have a Target here where I live and they're a stickler about multiple returns so I'd rather just not get disposables or J&J since we won't use them.
I know that for my circle of friends they won't freak about getting the info =)

registries should be included in baby showers, in my opinion. you're not inviting just anyone to your shower - you're inviting close friends and family.
what kind of etiquette are you talking about?

@tequiero21: In wedding invites including registry info is a pretty big no-no b/c it looks "gift grabby" it's also a fine line to include "adult only" or "attire suggestion" and you have to be careful with wording.... *sigh etiquette* lol

I put my registry info in the invites for both showers, wedding and baby. Since the point of a shower is pretty much to give/get gifts, I think it makes sense to do that.

my SIL included my registry on my invites. She used Punchbowl evites and also sent out card invitations to the grandmothers to be.

also, you don't send your own baby shower invites - for weddings, you do.

You're not supposed to host your own shower, wedding or baby, You may host your own wedding, but I still wouldn't put registry info on the invite, that can either be on your wedding website or distributed by word of mouth.

My friends included registry info on the invite. "The ______s are registered at Babies "r" Us and Target"
