If it's your LO's 1st Christmas, are you doing anything special for her/him?
We sent out our first family Christmas cards, took pictures of our LO in her Christmas dress and I'm making hand and foot imprint ornaments for her.

For DS, I made him a blanket and for my family, I made a calendar of each month since he was born in February.

Aww! How did the prints turn out? We tried, unsuccessfully, to do that with DD when she was about a month old with one of those kits somebody gave us.
We had Christmas pictures taken, sent out shutterfly Christmas cards & started a tradition of 2 ornament gifts/year...1 is homemade & 1 is store bought. I also have LOTS of plans for when she is a bit older that we are started now, like special "santa" wrapping/gift tags, visiting family the day after & day before but staying home with immediate family the day of, reading Christmas books that are both fun & religious, etc.

@chopsuey119: How old is she now? DD might go for it now...I have adorable ink feet prints from the hospital in her baby book but no hand prints

she had such tiny hands and feet when she was born. She's so big now!

No hand prints here either! They didn't do them at the hospital & at home they didn't come out at all because her hands were always in little fists. DD is 7.5 months now, maybe they'd work now. Isn't it amazing how fast they grow?! AH!

We did Santa photo and I bought a special Christmas ornament... that's about it.

I am counting this year as DS's first, he was just a week old last year and I was too out of it to do anything.
We're doing a visit with Santa, I have special ornaments for him and I've got an advent calendar. Next year I think I will do a tree decorated in toys and I plan to make a felt tree with the ornaments in his advent calendar.
eta: I also think next year I'll get the Little People nativity, and put those figures in the advent calendar. I love the idea of a totally kid tree!

LO is only 4.5 months old and while we wanted to get her to sit with Santa at the mall, I haven't tried it yet fearing that she'll throw a crazy fit! Since she's still so little, I'm enjoying this holiday time with the hubs.

@Rubies: Why don't you try doing a family picture so you can hold her next to Santa? We don't do Santa pictures... and thank goodness because I know my LO would hate it. She's not a fan of strangers (or really people who aren't her mom and dad) and I know Santa would really freak her out!
We're not doing much for the first Chanukah. I bought her a "My First Chanukah" board book and it'll hopefully be the start of a tradition of buying her Judaica/Chanukah things as one of her gifts each year.

@artbee: I thought of that but then the effort it would take to drag us all to the mall in clothes other than sweats is not worth it. HAHA...Am I terrible or what?

@sulli301: I guess they don't even bother with handprints at the hospital since un-fisting their little hands would be too much of a pain.

Last year we did Santa photos and put up a tree. My MIL gave me a ton of baby's first Xmas ornaments. We also did holiday cards with a family photo. Oh, and her first photo shoot with a professional photographer. And a stocking! I guess we did a bunch of stuff!
totally regret it!
