Hmmm...good question. I've been thinking about this too as it will be our LO's first Christmas too. I'm planning to buy him a personalized stocking, an ornament and an advent calendar to hang up. I'll probably also buy a copy of Polar Express and Twas the Night Before Christmas to read to him because we always did that when I was growing up. I'm interested to hear what other people say!

@mrsjyw: well, C will be almost 9 months old, so shes getting an activity table for christmas as well as a stocking with some small stuff ( im finally going to splurge on some Trumpette socks). Nothing too pricey and only a couple things. She'll be more interetsed in the wrapping paper anyway.
We requested books from the family.

DS will only be a few weeks old too so i was just thinking about this. I haven't gotten anything personalized yet as DH is a bit superstitious and thinks that will jinx something. So I'm going to have to scramble around after he's born to get something. I wanted an ornament. My mom is already cross stitching his stocking. I don't envision us getting him any presents b/c he already has more than he needs and my family will buy him things. I do need to find a nice outfit for him thought!
I always love the book idea. I'll try to pass the word around.

Our LO was older, so we did get him some things to open. If he was smaller we would have been fine just getting a special stocking and ornament for him.
