so as most of you know, our DS was blessed with mama's hair from birth! TONS AND TONS OF hair 
hasn't lost any of it and it is growing!
he's got good head control, will be six months in a few wks and while this mama doesn't want to face it, i think we need to get his hair cut!
how old was your LO when they got their first hair cut? where did you do it? at home? at a salon? kiddie salon?

E had his first haircut at 10 months, and I just did it at home. My friend had a son born with TONS of hair though, and they had his first cut at a kid's salon when he was 5 months.

LO had only one haircut so far and it was when she was 13 months. We went to a kiddie salon.

We went to a kiddie salon at 15 months - they were awesome, he got a picture and a certificate. J was blessed with my crazy-thick hair and it was so long. Everyone was saying, "aw, she's soo cute!".
I regret cutting it though. I loved his rocker shag. I'm letting it grow again!

I had to give LO a haircut at 5 months! I did it myself the first two times, but now at 1 he is walking and won't sit still long enough for me to cut it, so I may start taking him somewhere.

We tried cutting his hair around 11 months, and it was a disaster. We continued to trim his hair until he was 17 months old and gave in to the kiddie salon. They did a great job.

I haven't done it yet, even though he has a serious mullet and long bangs. I just can't part with his baby hair! If/when we do it, I'd like to go to a kiddie salon because I feel like they know what they're doing and I don't.

I say kiddie salon for his first cut
I cut my DD's bangs for the first time at 25 months. Haha. She's got wispy hair!

2 years..kiddie salon. She even got her nails painted. We had a blast and it was worth every penny. Well it was a gift card so I'm glad we got it bc otherwise I probably would have been too tight.

Exciting!! You have to take lots and lots of pictures and share afterwards. At this time, my daughter is still a few years from needing her first haircut.
