There are so many adorable pics of babywearing dads. I hope my guy is open to it; he may not rock a sling like this Twilight actor.
How did your SO like babywearing? What were their favorite carriers?

He hasn't worn her in public yet but he has around the house for chores. We have a Tula. As she gets heavier I foresee full day outings being him wearing her rather than me.

DH likes wearing E in our Tula. Plus he loves not lugging our double stroller around.

Dh never used the Moby but he did start wearing her in our beco gemini earlier than I did. He tended to wear her face out more, once she was big enough. But when we wanted her to fall asleep it was still better for me to wear her.

We have twins, so our preferred way to take the kids out is one worn by each of us. Recently we were shopping on vacation and DH thought he'd just carry out son (he was about 18 lbs then) which was fine until he fell asleep on DH and he got sooo heavy. That renewed his interest in babywearing real quick! DH uses the Ergo, although when they were itty bitty he did use the Moby a little.
One of my favorite pics of DH wearing:

DH never took to baby wearing. But neither did dd for long so that's probably why. We still have the ergo and I think DH will use that if #2 is happy to be in it but I don't foresee him using a wrap or sling.

Here's my husband the first time we used the Moby! DD was about a month old and close to 6 lbs here.

The ergo suited DH really well. He wore it a lot more than me! (not a gold thread, but otherwise would share some pics)

DH loves to babywearing, I don't think I have any pics though.
That actor is carrying her soooooo low!

DH wears as much as I do! Actually maybe more now that she's a very heavy toddler.
He wraps and uses SCC's but he has his own wrap conversion mei tei with dragon hood which he adores.

My DH loves our Beco Gemini! It was a surefire way to get DS to nap during his fussy stage - DH would pop him in and then do chores around the house or take the dog for a walk. (And mama got to take a nap or shower!)

DH used the Beco around the house, he liked being able to keep DS close to him while also getting stuff done!

DH wears H in the Ergo when he needs to walk the dog and I'm not home. He wants to try out my wrap as well.

@oliviaoblivia: that's what I thought! Would take some creativity for him to kiss the baby on the head...
DH will occasionally babywear. She used to only nap in the Moby so if I was gone and he was on duty that's what he'd do. Now he'll use the Ergo or did just experiment with my maya sling (looked up you tube videos on different carries and would send me pics, it was cute) so he could do some chores around the house with LO. He gets bored just playing with her so on daddy days he gets a lot done! Otherwise I'm the one wearing her when we're out and about. He uses the stroller for treks by himself.

DH wore LO frequently because she hated the car seat and he watched her on Fridays. He started with the K'tan, then the Bjorn, and finally the Ergo which was most comfortable for him.
He got soo much attention while baby wearing.

DH has his own K'tan, and we share the Beco Gemini. He doesn't like my ring sling as much. He has been wearing our toddler since the day we brought her home.

We each have an Ergo sized for us. DH is almost 6 inches taller than me and we liked being able to leave the carriers in our cars already sizes. Hardly ever used a stroller.

@oliviaoblivia: low carrying is bad form?
@Arden: your wraps are gorgeous. Purple is one of my favorite colors.

When DS was really little, DH wore him in the ktan and the Moby. Now he prefers the Onya, but also uses the ergo.
Here is DH and one of his best friends showing off their baby wearing!

My husband doesn't really like it and hasn't done it since LO 1 was a baby. He says he will try it again when baby 3 arrives!

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: not to be the baby wearing police, but the way that baby has her neck bent could restrict her airway. Babies should be close enough to kiss,
@MenagerieMama: it's like he's carrying a purse not a person.
honeydew / 7230 posts
@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: You want to keep baby close enough to kiss! That way you can make sure baby's airway is clear and she's safe. That kind of sling keeps baby pretty low, although I've seen some hacks with a scarf that you can use the sling with the baby in a more traditional position (upright with butt below knees). I think the concern with the baby in that pic would be making sure her airway is clear. It looks like her chin is on her chest which isn't ideal.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: common theme with celebrity baby wearing pics... its awesome they are getting more people interested but sooo many of them carry their babies in unsafe ways. Sort of a bummer.
My DH isn't into baby wearing. When she was a newborn he would wear her in the moby because it was the only thing that would calm her down a lot. He could wrap it himself and did great with it. But once she got bigger I switched to a ring sling and then a woven wrap. He isn't interested in wearing her in those. Both because it isn't really necessary (he never goes out with her alone and I like wearing her out when we are together, and she doesn't like being worn around the house anyways), and also because he things ring slings and wraps are too feminine. Granted, I have a rainbow wrap I totally disagree and tried showing him pics of men wrapping in rainbow wraps (and the inevitable comments from every mom about how hot that is! lol) but he remains unconvinced. Oh well lol. If we had a SSC he'd probably wear her but we don't.

@oliviaoblivia: @twodoghouse: got it. I see the big difference between him and the HB dads doing it right. Thanks
@Mae: oh yeah, men doing the dishes with a towel over one shoulder is hot just like men babywearing! Lol

DH wore DD a ton. At home in the moby when she was tiny and out and about in our boba 3G or now our Tula.

@oliviaoblivia: thank you! I didn't want to say anything and you have a beautiful graphic to go with

DH wears M often in our ring sling! I don't have any pics though!

@Arden: Oh man, I need you to give me some tips on how to back carry in a WCMT. The few times I've tried have been an epic fail.
My DH wasn't super into it, but he had his own Beco Gemini and liked it for a while when DS was really little. This is on of my favorite pics from those super early newborn days. DS had been so grumpy and DH put him in the carrier and he was out like a light.

DH and I kind of fight over who gets to wear the baby when we go out, I win most the tine
We have a few different ones but right now the woven wrap is both our favorite.

DH pops DD in the Ergo when she's super fussy or when mama needs a bath break at the end of the week! They like to go for walks in the woods

DH wore both our babies when they were younger (ergo). he enjoyed it cuz they usually just slept. quiet cuddles!

@Corduroy: oh yeah. Wearing a baby makes a man attract all the little old ladies and the chicks according to my DH.
