When are you putting her in the carrier? Trying to time it so the baby is due for a nap is the best way to get going with babywearing, IMO. Putting them in while they are hungry or wide awake didn't work at all for me in the beginning.

We use the Moby with lots of success. The k'tan wasn't supportive enough at the beginning when she was really floppy, but now that she has more head control we use the k'tan more frequently.

I liked the k'tan when he was a newborn and still like it for him at 4 months. It is tight, but meant to stretch. I agree with Highwire and make sure it's when your baby is sleepy. Sometimes my LO would fuss for a bit, but then settle down and eventually fall asleep.

I think it just takes a bit of time for babies to get used to being in the carrier. I remember the first couple of times I tried, my LO would fuss and fuss, but I just kept him in there and walked around the house or danced to music. Eventually he'd fall asleep and I could sit down!

Being outside also really helped. He never fussed if he was in the carrier and we were outside.

When he was really little we used the moby, then started using the Pognae at 3 months.

I know a lot of people say that they don't like the ergo until their kids are older, but my kids did fantastic in it with the infant insert from a few weeks old. The only caveat is that we put them in the insert as normal and then kind of turned the insert sideways to wear it. They didn't like the spread knees action when they were teeny tiny. Around 10 weeks we could use the insert as normal.

@BlueWolverine: I always found the same thing with both Owen and Eloise. They would fuss and protest when I first put them in the carrier, but would totally settle in and be asleep after a few minutes.

I've seen babies who fuss at first if they are not used to it. I say keep trying! And also check out some videos and Babywearing International to make sure you are wearing them correctly so you are both comfortable. Good luck
