We are looking for a warm vacation spot to go to with our 6 month old in February. Hopefully my parents will join us so we can have some built in help. We'd like to rent a condo or have a suite with kitchenette. Any places that you love? Or tips for a "vacation" with a LO?

First recommendation is try to catch a direct flight from wherever you are, it'll make the trips down and back way less painful. Also yes, if you can cook your own meals in the condo, that'll help with not scheduling 3 meals/day out around naps and bedtime... that single thing alone made our lives a ton easier. Also having a pool right on site so we could jump out with LO for a quick swim, or one of us could go out while LO was napping and someone stayed back to man the monitor. Where are you coming from?

I agree that having a pool or balcony that you can still enjoy during naps is great.
I know in FL its still pretty chilly in February. Enjoyable weather but not for tanning or swimming.

@JoJoGirl: thanks for the tips! we are only looking at destinations with direct flights, thinking puerto rico, it's about a 4 hour flight from boston.
any advice on swimwear for a LO? she will be 7 months when we go. should I get rashguards and some bottoms? we have never had a summer baby (she was born in july and we obviously didn't take her swimming!!) -

We also got her a couple of swim diapers. LO was also 7 months when we went. She loved it!

We went to FL when LO was 7 mos last Feb and used a rash guard and a reusable swim diaper (charlie banana). LO didn't mind wearing either. We bought a float with a canopy when we got there and used that in the pool. He wasn't a huge fan of the pool but he loved the ocean!

Following along! We're heading to the Clearwater, FL area in April. LO will be about 5-6 months, and I'm clueless!
