So it's a little early to be working on this...but not too early!

As land-locked Middle Americans, I have been telling DH for months (...or years?) that as a giant pregnant lady, I would like to get my toes in the sand and float in some salt water.

By the time he finishes the school year, I'll be 29-30 weeks and that seems like a pretty good time to go. Airfare not being too ridiculously expensive (Hawaii was around $1000/each) is a priority and I guess it would be nice if it were nice and warm...but not too hot. We're pretty casual folks...my only real requirements for a good beach vacation are relative privacy, pretty vistas, and good food (though preferably not all upscale all the time).

The Outer Banks are a favorite. Neither of us has been to Florida (at least not for a very long time), but I've thought of visiting Sanibel-Captiva for a while. I've actually also never been to much of the Gulf coast, other than TX (as a kid)... What other places do you think would fit the bill? Where would you go?
