I am not really a drinker but sometimes on those hot summer days a cold beer just tastes good!
I saw this Summer Shandy at the local beer place and it has lemonade or lemon in it???
Sounds yummy, I think???
Anyone ever have this?

We make a shandy in the summer and its 1/2 beer, 1/2 ginger beer, served over a ton of ice. SO good!

DH is obsessed with Summer Shandy. I think it tastes watered down.

I like it when we are at the pool for a little something different. Have some in my fridge right now!

We've been drinking this kind, made with a popular local brand lemonade. I'm not usually much of a shandy person, but it's really good. Very summery!

My family does Beer-rita's. 6 beers and 1 frozen lime-aid. mix together and delish! Even women that don't like beer, drinks these.

Yep, a shandy is beer mixed with something, usually lemonade. DH and his college buddies made what they called "summer brew" which is beer, lemonade and vodka.
Also, if you are shopping for beer, you can also look for the word "radler" which is very similar to a "shandy". Stiegl makes a few radlers I love (with grapefruit soda and blood orange soda!).

I'm not a huuuge fan of the Leinenkugel shandy; i prefer a real shandy, honestly! But it's not bad! It's a very lemony beer. I just prefer a true 50/50 lemonade/beer

@Shutterbug: ooh I didn't think to look there! My parents live out by Nbro

I've had the Leinkenkugel variety and it's fine, it's pretty popular but not my favorite. I've also had the "summer brew" with is lemonade, regular beer, and vodka and that is DELICIOUS (even though it sounds odd).

I really like the leinkenkugel summer shandy. They also have an orange shandy that's really good too (might be a fall beer though).

I love summer shandy beer! I'm having one tonight for the premiere of "Drunk History." So tasty. You might like a lambic as well. There's different fruity flavors for them too.

Love summer shandy. I just tried Sea Dog's Sunfish last night. While not a shandy, it was amazing. Beer with hints of grapefruit. Yes, please!
