I got a bebe band from Target. Loved it! Used it my entire pregnancy and for a few months post baby until my jeans started fitting again.

i never thought to use my belly band post pregnancy...good call. i outgrew that thing by like 18 weeks! i am already starting to freak about excess skin since stretch marks have been popping up like no one's business the last three weeks!

I had the Target brand, I didn't find it all that useful, I prefered to stick a hairband around my jeans to keep them closed. Then I moved to maternity pants when they stopped fitting comfortably. I did gain weight in my thighs pretty early on, so that made a difference as well, as my parents fit tight other places than just the tummy!

I got the Be Band (Target's version) and pretty much hated it. Even totally unbuttoned and unzipped, I could feel my jean tops and button/zipper digging into my skin and I felt like I was trying to adjust it all day and keep it from creeping up/down. I moved to maternity jeans at about 8 weeks.

The belly bandit is for post partum, right? Is the bella band supposed to do the same thing?
I want to know too - it seems like having something holding you all together post-delivery would be nice!

If you're talking about the brand name "Belly Bandit" - yep, I have one. It didn't really do much, I don't think. I could barely get it around my postpartum tummy immediately after the birth but could use in within a week or so.
DS is 7 months old and my body/tummy is finally back to just about what it looked like pre-pregnancy.

@ladyfingers: I had the Be Band as well. I didn't really care for it. I still felt like my pants were falling off. I moved into maternity pants around 8 weeks or so.

Anyone else have the "belly Bandit"... these are for postpartum supposedly they help your belly shrink from all the fluid. You can't buy them at target or anywhere but online or a specialty store.
I'm curious if they are actually worth it????

I didn't want to spend the money, so I've been using my bella band (from target, to hold your pants up) as a postpartum band (to keep belly in). I don't know if it makes a difference as far as healing goes, but I definitely don't feel as...empty jelly belly with it!

I have the Baby Be Mine Belly Band (one in white and one in black) that I've been using since 12 weeks (I'm now 19 weeks). I definitely love it. It holds my pants up and I'm glad that I haven't had to buy maternity pants yet. Definitely worth it in my opinion.

@scg00387: Bella band doesn't do the same thing. Bella band will help you wear existing pants longer. It may help keep things in place, but it won't be as effective as the bandit.
@lydg: @kml636: i got the belly bandit off of craigslist (gently used and in good condition) for half the original price and used it at 6 weeks post partum. it is pricey, but i wish i got it RIGHT after i gave birth. I found that it helped shrink my hips and noticed my stomach look less flabby after wearing it.

I have the Target brand. It is ok, it helped for sure in the beginning with the bloat but now I prefer just maternity pants then trying to wear my regular pants with the band.
