I just finished If I Die Tonight by Alison Gaylin, very good book; really makes me want to keep my kids in a bubble though and not let them grow up!

The Great Believers by Rebecca Makkai.
I'm still thinking about it literally months after finishing it.

@merriment: yes!! This book was so, so good. Best fiction I've read in a long time.

Best nonfiction: Say Nothing, which is about the Troubles in Northern Ireland. I didn't expect to love it like I did, but it was incredible.
