I like McDonald's french fries when they're fresh. The best fries I've ever had are from Lucille's though. They're thin and super crunchy!

Omg, french fries are probably my second favorite food of all time. First are cheeseburgers. Hehe. I love McDonalds as well as Wendy's. I also love Chick-Fil-A's waffle fries. I also love the big thick steak fries you get at fancy restaurants, and I love the shoestring fries from places like Yard House. I also love the potato wedge fries from Fuddruckers.. covered in their (free!) cheese sauce.
Who am I kidding? I love all french fries.

@chopsuey119: I love animal style! Sometimes I'll just get cheddar fries with grilled onions on top. So good!

@tina: HAHAHAH. your comment made me lol! I love yard house!

You know what sucks? Even the fries at McDonald's in the UK aren't as good. I'm not sure what the difference is, but they aren't as crispy and salty.
I love Wendy's fries and Chick-Fil-A fries too. When I was younger, my best friend's dad worked for the company that distributed the fries for Chick-Fil-A and they would have them at their house! It thought it was the coolest ever!
Also, for my Dallas peeps- I LOOOOVE Snuffer's cheese fries. So deliciously bad for you with bacon and chives (hold the ranch and jalapeƱos, please)

@chopsuey119: not yet!! now i have to go!! i have no excuse b/c they just opened one close to my work/home!! yayyyyy!!!! what else do you get there besides fries?

OH I just remembered another one. There's a local placed called Sunset Grill and they do curly fries sour cream and chive style. They sprinkle them with parmesan and chopped chives and serve them with ranch for dipping. YUM.

There is a chain in Canada called New York Fries, and their fries are the best ... their Poutine is what pregnant dreams are made of ... YUM!
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
@Sha: Ribs, onion straws, bbq shrimp, chicken, usually I'll get a meat combo platter. Their sausage is SO good!
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
@tina: I love curly fries! Jack in the box makes really yummy seasoned curly fries..

I liked Wendy's old fries when they were thicker. I love Arby's curly fries!!!

@betsyboop: I couldn't agree more about Wendy's fries!! So sad when they changed so many things after Dave Thomas died. Rob Sr. was so mad. For instance, frostys were only chocolate because Dave loved chocolate. As soon as he died, they introduced vanilla ones, and mix-ins... Ok, I've eaten them and they're delicious, but there's something to be said about sticking with tradition. They'd better stick with the square beef patties.

I hate to admit it, and I don't eat them often (maybe 2 years ago last time), but McDonald's fries are engineered to be the world's tastiest french fry. Even better with their ranch dip (like I would need those extra calories).
I remember when I was pregnant with Little Jacks I had a craving for a McD's cheeseburger and fries... I wolfed them down and then my nausea struck again. I haven't had McDonald's since!

For plain fries McDonald's is my favorite. My ultimate favorite fries are from Red Robin, though, I LOVE their garlic fries!

@MsMini: Mmm... poutine! That doesn't sound very authentically New York, but I really like that stuff. I thought it sounded really weird until I tried it, but now I'm a convert.

Five Guys make the best fries! My second favorite would be from Popeyes

I'd have to say my recent favorite is Five Guys cajun fries. I can stuff away a large on my own.
To this day, there will always be a special place in my stomach for Wendy's fries (loyal employee back in high school - grill and frying station). I nearly threw my remote through the TV when I saw commercials for the "new sea salt fries" or whatever abomination they sell now.
RIP Dave Thomas.

MMMMMmmmmmm.....McD's fries. Now, ya'll made me want some...
I also love In'n'Out fries 'cause they're so fresh but even more for their burgers. I eat them protein style - the burger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun. I need to get myself back to CA soon

@tina: that sounds divine! i mean the sour cream and chive fries! yum!

@MsMini: I love New York Fries too. Have you ever tried South Street Burger? It's their burger chain and they serve pretty good burgers too. I saw that New York Fries now serves Butter Chicken Poutine!
Now I want New York Fries! Too bad I already sent my husband out for formula for Baby #1... No fries for me tonight!

I didn't even know Wendy's started selling different flavored Frosty's! Yes, RIP Dave Thomas and RIP Wendy's old french fries.

@ALittleP: I LOVE In-N-Out... The fries, the burgers, the lemonade! When I was on my honeymoon, I told my husband on the plane that I didn't care about any fancy Vegas restaurants, I wanted In-N-Out as soon as we got off the plane!
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
Hands down, McDonalds. I also love the ones from Wing Stop. I think they put a little sugar on them.
grapefruit / 4056 posts
@belleoftheballe: I haven't tried South Street Burger (I don't think there is one where I live). I tried the butter chicken poutine, it was pretty good, but I prefer the original (call me boring LOL)
@skibobrown: Even just the New York fries with a side of gravy are pretty much to die for ... but I can't pass up poutine when I have the chance!

Anything curly. But I don't really care. Give me any fry, anytime, and I will eat it. Fries are like crack to me. I don't care if they are cold or soggy or whatever.
