Just for kicks, what was your best or worst job? My best job was teaching junior high and high school, even though my boss was horrid and they didn't renew my contract. My worst job was also the teaching job.
How about you?

Worst - I packed hotdog sausages in a warehouse.
Best - when I was a cashier at a furniture store. (while studying graphic design) That's where I met my husband

Packing hotdog sausages? Wow, that's a job that you don't hear too often!

I used to do a lot of temping to put myself through school. One time, I had to clean out an industrial oven. The person who owned it hated cleaning it, so she never cleaned it and then hired a temp once a month. One month, that was me... that oven was truly disgusting.
Another temp job I had was with a chainsaw. With no training, I was supposed to chop up a wooden platform that I was standing on!! I refused to do that, so instead I did light industrial work with a sledgehammer and stepped on a nail. There was no health insurance either.
Two worst ever temp assignments ever were when I got sexually harassed by my temporary boss.... and later when I got fired from a job and nobody told me, and I went into the assignment the next day. Very embarrassing.

Haha. Yup! I had to pack them in boxes or even in the prepackaged 12 hotdog packs. I smelt like hotdogs all day long. Ew (hence why I cant eat them anymore)

Best: lifeguard.
Worst: Telemarketer. First day, I made a call and asked for a Mr. X. The woman on the phone started crying and said he had just recently died. My boss yelled at me for not asking her name and if she wanted the product. When I left for lunch that day, I never went back. Never even went back for my paycheck.

Best: the job I'm at now - "Duty Manager" - I'm really not a fan of the job itself, but I love the team I'm on & that makes such a difference.
Worst: CSR at a small airplane insurance company - it wasn't the job so much as I was in a really bad place in my life & that kind of reflected.

Best: My current job... I run a seafood distribution company. I get to work in the food industry and work with chefs every day. I also get to work with my family (which is a blessing and a curse!)
Worst: A marketing coordinator for a very well-known, highly-regarded art museum in NYC. It was terrible pay. Terrible team. And just a downright negative work environment. Turned me off to working in the arts and nonprofit immediately.

I'm currently in my worst job. I work in a clerical position at the DA's office. Not only is the job incredibly mundane, but my coworkers are psychotic and petty. It pays decently and I have good benefits, though. Bleh.
Best: I worked at American Girl Place selling the historical dolls. I loved it! It actually paid really well, too, for retail, but my commute was nearly an hour and parking at the Grove in Los Angeles was expensive.
