What apps does everyone use and like? I have an andriod phone. I really don't want to pay for one since my contract is up in a couple months and I will be switching over to the iphone.
Any suggestions? Ones to avoid?

I'm not sure what's available for android, but for iphone, I use 'what to expect' (although it's kind of off..it always has me a week ahead, even with my correct EDD), baby center my pregnancy, sprout lite and expecting baby (enfamil).

I have an Android and my favorite ones are What to Expect and baby center. I also downloaded a bunch more just for fun and read their weekly updates.

baby center...the day-by-day tidbit is fun and the fruit comparison, but in my opinion, the boards are seriously crazy sometimes.
we also use sprout lite on our ipad, and that is fun to see their weekly baby graphic because you can put in a name for the baby and the gender and it updates the info to reflect that. so if you are like us, you only have a nickname for the baby, like "peanut" or "cookie monster", the app will say "Cookie Monster at 20 weeks" and i just find it so funny....its the little things these days.

@sorrycharlie: i use 'what to expect to' -- though it seems like it's showing a week ahead, i think that it's actually accurate. for instance, if you're 10w2d, you may be 10 weeks pregnant, but you're actually in your 11th week.

@photojane: oh interesting! that's good to know..that's always confused me. so tomorrow I'm 29 weeks - but I should read 'week 30' on the apps and the books, do you think?
so confusing!

I used BabyBump. It has a daily tip, weekly info, a journal if you want to track your pregnancy, the ability to add photos, checklists and videos, a kick counter, contraction counter, baby name search and then a bunch of boards. I use an iPhone, but I'm pretty sure it's available on android too.

@sorrycharlie: yes! i was really confused at first too, but if you actually go back to your LMP and count the weeks, it will make sense. another way to look at it is: i'm 24. now that i'm over 24 years exactly, i'm working on my 25th year. next july 1, i'll have completed my 25th year. or if you have a baby, your baby is in his/her first year of life before he/she ever turns 1.
