Charlie has been obsessed with those puree pouches lately, and they're a great snack on the go and a way to sneak in extra veggies. He was never really into them when he was a toddler though.
What are your favorite brands/flavors?

I love the Sprout ones. I thought they tasted good and DS always ate best with those.
ETA: We used Plum organics for a while but the first ingredient in most of the pouches is apple puree. They really made DS constipated! I would watch out for that with Charlie!

I've wanted to try these for LO! I never know what flavors to get though.

I like plum organics!
Well. LO likes plum organics. She only likes the strawberry/pear mish mash.

My girls prefer the Plum Baby and reject some of the others... I can't remember which ones now. I think the Earth's Best are ok to them, but Plum Baby is way better, in their opinion!

i think it is canadian, but our fav is by baby gourmet (certified organic) and we like the "juicy pear and garden greens" flavour. it is pear, spinach, and broccoli.
i like to steal tastes!

LO seems to prefer Plum Organics - I usually get her the ones with yogurt and veggies in them. She also really likes GoGo Squeeze, which are only applesauce plus another fruit blends. In my neck of the woods, GoGo Squeeze are stocked with applesauce, not baby food. They're also significantly cheaper than the baby food versions. I've been considering getting some Little Green Pouches or Squooshis to fill myself to cut the cost.

@autumnlove: Ooh, I haven't tried Ella's. I should do that.
@owlmom: Have you tasted the Go Go ones? Maybe it was an off day, but I thought they tasted like chemicals. Anyone else have that experience?

We like the trader Joe's apple and carrot ones and sometimes did the generic target ones.

@tysonja: Eww, i tried the pear-garden greens one and it was kind of gross. Haha. Have you tried Ella's Kitchen? They sell them at Babies R Us! LO had the rutabaga-apple-spinach one and surprisingly liked it (even though i thought it was gross)!

My LO loved the Sprout ones. They weren't as sweet as Ella's and she really seemed to like it. I found them on the sale rack at Wal-Mart and tried to stock-pile them before we left, but they weren't selling them at all after

@Mrs. Jacks: yuck! I've tasted both flavors we've tried (berry and mango) and didn't have that experience, but now I'm thinking I might go eat a whole one to see what I think...

@caffeinated: LOL!! hehe i haven't tried ella's kitchen, but next time i'm at bru i'll check it out! rutabaga is so unusual!
i wish that jarred/pouched baby food had more 'greens' like kale, spinach, broc, etc! i do make my own, but when they are little sometimes its just easier to buy sometimes

@tysonja: I know what you mean. Honestly, I get annoyed by a lot of pouches because the first ingredient is usually apples, with the more nutritious ingredients last...which of course means that there is very little of it! Have you tried the BG lentil-sweet potato one? LO really liked that one!

The Happy Baby kale/apple/mango pouch is amazing!! I'd say Happy Baby/Happy Tot is my favourite brand. My LO also likes Kids Gourmet Squoosh pouches.

@Sammyfab: Where do you buy Happy Baby? I can't find it anywhere here!

Love sprout!!! They're so yummy. Expensive though but DS and DD are prefer them over any others.

Peter Rabbit Organics. We all like them. I think they're more like smoothies than purées.

@caffeinated: I got them at Target...sorry, I know that's not much help! I did find an online retailer in Canada (livingandeatingwell.ca) but the prices were ridiculous compared to amazon.com prices! Is there a Target opening near you in the spring?

LO likes Plum. We recently tried the blueberry/purple carrot one and, I have to say, it's delicious! My husband and decided that next time we have waffles, we're going to warm some up and use it as syrup!

@HLK208: We don't have a Target in Canada (or at least in my 'hood) yet.
@Sammyfab: Did they open a Target in ON already?? We have one opening later this year. Can't wait! I hope the products are all the same.

@Mrs. Bee: Have you seen the Sili Squeeze? http://thesilico.com/
We don't use these, but I've heard great things about them plus you can make your own flavors (which I assume would taste best lol). We haven't tried any pouches either though.

@caffeinated: they're not open yet...I think sometime in April? There will be 2 in the city I live in. I can't wait even though I know everything will be more expensive.

DD likes Happy Baby and Ella's kitchen, I also bought some Little Green Pouches online so I can make my own for her
ps its cheaper to buy little green pouches on their website instead of amazon

@anbanan15: i've seen similar ones, but i don't know if i'm actually going to make purees.... just making regular food is time consuming enough!
also when the pouches are on sale for like a $1, I think it's cheaper than buying organic and spending all that time cooking. Sure fresh is best, but sometimes convenience wins out.
