The Duggars! They are from the town next to my hometown Super nice, sweet people.

My family. There was 10 of us kids. DH's family is a close second with 9 kids. Although, my family in circles with lots of large families (totally the same type as the Duggars, no comment), and I'm sure I've run into families with more than 10 kids. Just can't remember any specifically right now. Ooooooh, this is a lot more recent and not in the same circles AT ALL, but Farmer Man's boss was one of 14 kids. Back in the days of ginormous Catholic families.

ETA: But most of the large families I've known were all in our generation. As much as a large family with a 20+ year age span between oldest and youngest siblings can be considered 1 generation, lol.

@grizz: Grizz for the win! So many of my work acquaintances have many kids. I know one woman 4 years younger than me with 8 kids and one woman 5 years younger than me with 12. Those are just the biggest examples off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are lots more in the 8-12 range!

No "modern" families- my mom is the oldest of 10 and I babysat a family with 7 kids about 12-10 years ago. Crazy!

I have two classmates with six kids each, they are both single parents. I don't know how they do it!

I know a family of 6, but 4 are adopted so not sure if that counts (I mean it is a large family, but I wasn't sure if you were asking for someone my age that gave birth to the most children?). Besides that family, I know several families with 4 children each.

Not our generation, but my neighbors growing up at 14 (last I counted) children. That is the largest family I personally know.

Holy crap! My coworker has 4 kids...but there are a lot f Catholics around here, but mostly it's the older ones with lots of siblings. My friends are all surprised I want 3 lol

My brother and his wife have 5 and no plans of stopping. I think they're the most that I personally know.

@Honeybee: ah the joys of the wasatch front! In our neighborhood I can't think of anyone with more than three, surprisingly

@Mrs. Jacks: Bwahaha, you wouldn't believe how many pregnant women there are in my neighborhood right now! Every woman on my street is either pregnant or has had a baby in the last 3 months except me!

@Honeybee: everyone at work is pregnant and all the nurses live in your area, so I can only imagine! It makes it harder to be strong at 2, doesn't it?!

@Honeybee: perfect, because I tell myself that we won't be having any more until the honeybee family steps up. Perfect plan!

Filling a Suburban is the MAX for me. Max. I expect some of my siblings will have way more though.

I don't think I have any peers with more than 3, and I only know 2 families that have 3. And I'm 32. Most of our friends didn't start having kids until the last year or two and are on their first. Northeast cities tend to have older than the national average first time moms and fewer kids.

@runsyellowlites: Well, I'm moving up to a Suburban with #3 anyways (because this is what happens when you live in the sticks and your big town runs involve bringing home massive amounts of supplies), so that's where my limit stands. Theoretically, I have a few more seats to fill.

My moms last husband (there have been a lot) had 10 natural children. So technically my ex-step family! I didn't claim them as family though. But yeah, 10. One after the other.

Um, I know someone with four and still going..I think that's the largest so far! (Mom and dad are in their late 20s.)
