How long it it take for your LO's birth certificate to arrive?

A few weeks. It was surprisingly quick but ours had an error so we had to get it corrected.

We got it when he turned 5 weeks.

I'm in CA and we had to go pick it up, they didn't automatically send it to us.

Is it bad that we haven't ordered one yet and LO is 4 months old. Oops!

It took a few weeks.. I think 2-3? I'm in GA.

@owlmom: We didn't get them until he was almost 7 mos! We *thought* we had ordered them in the hospital, but apparently not. It only dawned on us when we took our first plane trip that we didn't have them!

A few weeks. I can't remember exactly, but I know I was surprised at how fast it came.

We never picked it up! We have to request it from City Hall. RJ is over 2... oops.

We got ours in the mail when she was two weeks along with her social security card.

Ours also had an error... What is with this? I didn't realize it was so common.
For this little peanut, we won't be eligible to get an amended birth certificate until 6 months old.
