I know I still have tons of time to worry about this but I mocked up this first invitation draft last night and was hoping to get some feedback. I think it's a bit more Rainbow or Fiesta than primary colors (although I think a Fiesta birthday party would be lots of fun!) I included my inspiration board as well.
What would you change? Should I trash it and try something else?

I think the concept is super cute but I would get rid of the chevron on the side and make it portrait! I think getting rid of the chevron or at least making it a thinner border would make it less busy.
ETA: also are the RGBs for all your colors the same? Because they don't all look like the same shade but I know sometimes different font or size can alter the look of a color. I think the green needs to be darker to be a "primary"?

love the chevron and the bunting. with the exception of the 'Evan is turning one' I might think about keeping text groups the same color i.e address information blue, date information green.

First, I think its a great first draft & it totally feels primary colors, I didn't get fiesta or rainbow.
I would go with either the chevron (landscape) or bunting (portrait), but not both though... I think that's what makes it feel busy. And I like the different lines in different colors.
