Hi hive -
Pardon the boring nature of this question but it's a puzzle we cannot figure out. We clean our floors pretty regularly (we have a swiffer wet mop system and a dry mop system) and we have a housecleaner 2x/month.
Despite this, when our son is barefoot at home, his feet are black within five minutes. We cannot, for the life of us, figure out what is causing our all wood floors (no carpet) to be so dirty, It's gross.
Any tips for cleaning? Ideas of where the problem is? We do have dogs, but this wasn't a problem at our old place (same dogs). I cannot figure out what has changed.
TIA!
Regardless, it's a good idea to enforce our "only indoor shoes indoors" rule which we halfheartedly do now.
- it's not that I think his bare feet CAUSE the dirt, but I do think the sweat/oil dampness from bare feet attracts, gathers and spreads dirt somewhat more than the dry bottom of a pair of indoor sandals or slippers. That and the dampness attracts all the dirt to the feet, making the floor seem dirtier than it probably is!
