What do you give for a baby boy's baptism? I assume you bring a gift?

We do cash at baptisms.

I attended a Baptism for a young toddler boy. I bought him a Biblical coloring book, first Bible in Spanish (his older brother had one in English already), and Biblical action figures.
ETA: we also paid half the restaurant bill for the fam abd friends that celebrated with the tot.

Cross plague for the wall, bible, children's bible stories book, frame.....my family doesn't do cash for anything...

For DS's baptism he got cash, a cross to hang on his wall, a children's bible, and little keepsake baby bracelet with a cross charm.

For ds's baptism this past weekend he got mostly cash. He also got a children's bible, godparent Christmas ornament, baby 1st Christmas ornament, a personalized frame and a plain frame.

We received cash from older relatives and some really beautiful gifts from friends that included a PBK stroller blanket, a personalized keepsake baby shoe from Nordstrom, and a personalized picture frame.

Thanks for the ideas! I think we will do cash, since I only had a few days notice. And I will try to find a 1st Christmas ornament if I can find one in time.

@shopaholic: We got mainly cash for H's baptism which we put into her college fund. A religious ornament would be really special too!
