I'm nearly 30 weeks and still haven't had any BHs (not that I'm complaining...) I'd know if I was having them, right?
When do you start having BHs?

I started getting them around week 34. It basically just feels like your stomach is getting a muscle cramp. It gets really really "tight" for a few seconds and then it relaxes. And then it'll happen again. I wouldn't say that it hurts. Just feels a bit uncomfortable. Feels totally different from labor contractions (at least to me). Labor contractions hurt WAAAAAAY more. LOL

Did you ever feel like your belly is hard as a rock or tighten like a knot all over? For most, BH feels like that. I started having them at 30 weeks. Sometimes, while walking, I have the urge to push because I thought I wanted to pee, but that was just a BH. Some never ever felt them.

I started getting them around week 31 but they were very random. It feels like your belly turned into a bowling ball for a bit, but mine went away once I changed positions or relaxed a bit.

Thanks, ladies! I'd thought everyone had them at some point... it's interesting that so many never had them at all.

I am one of the "lucky" ones that started having them about 19 weeks, they are uncomfortable, but not painful. I did get concerned about them at first, before I visited the LDR girls down the hall and talked to them.

I think I started having them around 18 or 19 weeks. Like MsMini said, they're uncomfortable (especially the later you get in your pregnancy) but not painful.

I asked my mom tonight and she said she never had them. Maybe I'm just pre-disposed not to have them...

I started getting them in my 3rd trimester. Can't remember exactly when though. You'll probably start feeling them soon!

I had 2 at around 26-ish weeks. the very top of my belly tightened for just a few second & released within a few minutes of each other. I've had a couple recently too - at 37 & 38 weeks respectively, that I think? were BH - the right side of my belly, from my belly button to around my side a little bit, hurt, but there wasn't a lot of tightening & my belly didn't get real hard or anything. but I did a google search & everything I was able to find pointed at that. they lasted maybe 5 minutes each & then went away

I never had them either, I thought something was wrong with me, but I never had round ligament pain either!

I started having them around week 20 - they come and go (sometimes I have a bunch in a week, sometimes I go a week without having any). They are not painful at all, but you can tell when you are having them - its a very different feeling from "normal", or from baby movement.

I started having them at 19w (I'm 22w now). My midwife said it's not unusual, just keep an eye on whether I am having a ton of them or it's just occasional.

This is one of those things where I was having them for a long time before I realized what they were. I think I started being pretty sure I was having BHs a little before 30 weeks... but I was definitely having them earlier than that. It was hard to tell the difference sometimes between normal baby movements when she presses her body out against my stomach and actual BH contractions. Now at 34 weeks they've become more uncomfortable for me, so I definitely know what they are when they happen.
