I am currently 23 weeks and 2 days. All along I tought I was 5 months going on 6 months (on my 24th week) but I found this site

that actually says I have been in my 6th month. So I have been telling people that ask the wrong info all along!
it doesnt make sense to me, but is that site correct? Are there any other calendars you use have found that break down the weeks and months?

That site isnt totally accurate. Not every month has 4 weeks. You can tell what month you are in by just counting back or forward. For example I am 22 weeks. the first day of my last period was July 10th, so on December 10th I was roughly 5 months along i wont be 6 months along until January 10th and by then I'll be 26 weeks.

Well if you break down "months" by 4 weeks then you get 10 months, not 9. This breakdown looks pretty accurate to me since it goes by fitting the 40 weeks into "9 months"... some "months" are going to have more than 4 weeks.. just like our real calendars =)

I used to just tell people weeks instead of months. It's easier.

I try to say weeks to people but a lot of people that havent been pregnant say "how many months?" so its all too confusing!

haha, I get the same thing when I say how many weeks I am. I am constantly googling "how many months pregnant am I?" just to double check. I do a lot of guessing, people don't really care if you fib a little. So right now, the answer for me is 6 months if someone asks.

I think the confusing part about the chart is that you have completed 5 months, but you are in your sixth months. So, technically, you are not yet six months pregnant because you haven't yet completed the sixth month. Does that help?
That said, I usually just go by the weeks (ie, at 12 weeks I said 3 months, at 16, 4 months). Otherwise too confusing for other people!

I 2nd what WinnieBee said. You've completed 5 months and you're currently in your sixth month. So if people ask how many months you are, say that you're "just over 5 months".
I look at where I'm at in comparison to the 17th of each month (I'm due Jan 17th), instead of going off weeks since each month has more than 28 days. So when I hit the 17th this month, I'll be 8 months along, even though I'll have 4 weeks and 3 days until I'm officially 40 weeks.

The whole being 4 weeks pregnant when you miss your period confuses me. Is it the day you miss your period, are you four weeks or how does that work?

I totally did not get why people would say "I'm 14 weeks" or "I'm 24 weeks pregnant" before I got pregnant. Now I get it - it's too confusing to say the month!!
