I've found YouTube tutorials to be the best! I like stitch witch if you search for those videos.

I self taught using a book. I don't see why online tutorials wouldn't work just as well!

Totally doable! My mom taught me as a kid, but I've used online tutorials as a refresher and to learn new stitches and tricks. I used a few tutorials on the blog little birdie secrets, and found them helpful.

I would say it's totally doable. I have been crocheting for a while and I always use YouTube if there is a technique I am unfamiliar with.
