Do you think we should rent a car + toddler seats when we travel to the Bahamas..?
Or should we take a shuttle/cab sans seat..?
I'm leaning more towards the rental + seats even though it'll cost a lot more.

Can you use a shuttle company that offers car seats? Or bring your own to use? We've been to the Bahamas and didn't need a car at all. Nor would I want to drive one there! I would die, LOL!

We've travelled a few places with LO where we just used a shuttle or a taxi without car seats. Usually I pop LO in my Ergo and then put my seatbelt on over that, configuring it in a way that won't crush LO but will prevent LO and I from flying out of the car if we were to get in an accident.
To be honest, I wouldn't pay all the extra money and have the hassle of dealing with a rental car for a 15 mile journey. If you were going to be using the car a lot, sure, but if it's solely to get to your hotel from the airport at the start and end of your journey, I wouldn't bother.

I like @LindayInNY: 's suggestion, see if the shuttle has seats available. Otherwise I would go with @Ree723: 's Ergo suggestion. I wouldn't rent a car unless you guys were already planning to do stuff outside of the resort.

I wouldn't want a car in the bahamas, so I'd call a rental for the shuttle to/from the airport!

If your daughter is heavy enough, look into the ride safer travel vest.

If you don't need the car besides the airport journey then I would take a shuttle/taxi and bring the carseats!
