Are there any ff car seats that do not need to be tethered? I’m trying to fit 2 ff seats in the 3rd row of our minivan and it only has one tether

I often put my car seats into an older car that does not have tethers for ff car seats. I would love to know if there is something out there. I have not found any in my searches. My huge almost 3 year old rear faces in our Clek Fllo because I can't install a ff seat. I know it's safer, but it's also terrible to sit in the front seat with one of the seats behind you. Stupid jeep...

Actually the top tether is only required for my combination seat above a certain weight limit- which my daughter is well below. It is still suggested but not required. We have a Britax frontier. So it’s worth double checking in your car seat manual.

ETA: I do still tether mine but from what I read, it’s safe to not tether up to 65 lbs in harness mode.

@Foodnerd81: excellent info! I will double check our seats. I read once that the tether is he most important part of ff so I’d like to do that but to get the seat arrangement we want it’s impossible. And they’re always coming out with new stuff like the anti rebound bars so I wasn’t sure if I was just missing something

@Kemma: this was our last resort, I’ve heard it’s an option but I haven’t checked into proves etc
