If your car seat did not come with strap covers (or, harness covers I guess), did you do anything to protect your LO's neck? I know you aren't supposed to use any after market products like bulky padded covers, but with C I remember her neck getting red marks from the straps if I wasn't really careful. It seems like a really thin something wrapped around the straps wouldn't interfere with the safety... Like a couple of baby wash clothes wrapped around it or something.

We have a graco snugride, did not come with strap covers. I didn't realize what a difference they make until we got a convertible that has them.
