I like carpet and we have it in our house. I love having it in our bedrooms.

I like carpet in areas like that, bedrooms and i'm a fan of carpet in the family room, a rug just doesn't cut it for me. I like the coziness of thick plush carpet and playing on the floor with DD.

We have carpet in our bedrooms and Im so glad. DD climbed out of her crib once and fell on the floor. Thank goodness it was on carpet!

I prefer wood with rugs. It's easier to keep clean.

I wish our bedrooms had carpet.

I have carpet in the bedroom now. DH prefers it, but I'd prefer wood. I have allergies, and it's easier to get dust up from wood than to get allergens out of carpet.

We don't have carpet in our house at all and aesthetically, I'm not a fan. But, I do think it's so much comfier and often wish we had it - especially in the Northeast when I would appreciate the extra warmth during the freezing winter...

I have a shedding dog so carpet really just isn't a good idea for us! I like having hard wood but throwing on an area rug!

I prefer carpet in the bedrooms, especially during the winter. I'd love to have hardwood/laminate everywhere else though.

I like the idea of carpet in the bedroom, but I think unless we kept all our animals (2 dogs and 2 cats) and children out of the bedroom we will never have carpet again. Vomit cleaning goes from yuck to kill me now when it's on carpet instead of wood! I'd rather toss a rug that was beyond repair than deal with carpet issues. We had this come up yesterday even though only the dogs sleep in our room (cats are kicked out - they also can never be anywhere with carpet due to peeing issues, that is a whole other level of hell!) because one dog got sick after her vaccines and deworming

I prefer carpet in the bedrooms. I am so sensitive to cold, I would go through slippers like crazy if we had flooring everywhere.

We have hardwood floors and would not install carpet in the bedrooms. LO is allergic to dust mites. Also if you're looking to sell, hardwood throughout is a good selling point.

I like hardwoods aesthetically, but for kid's rooms, I prefer the warmth of carpet. We are in the process of buying a house that has carpet upstairs and hardwood throughout the downstairs (including the master). I wanted hardwood in common spaces and didn't have a preference in the other rooms that would sway me between houses.

The only place in our house with carpet is the bedrooms. A few years ago we needed to decide to either refinish the hardwood in the bedrooms or replace the carpet for the bedrooms. We both decided we liked the warmth & coziness of carpet in the bedrooms.

I love having carpet in the bedrooms, wood in the main rooms. I vacuum and mop the wood floors every other day, and just have to vacuum the bedrooms. I think it is good for kids. It stays pretty clean and is comfy and I "wash" it regularly with baking soda and vinegar - it isn't actually that hard, or you can always purchase a cleaner or hire someone. It works.

My only other option would be wood everywhere and then maybe flor carpet tiles or pure wool rugs in the kid's rooms. I like not having to deal with rugs though!

Hardwood with a small plush area rug on either side of the bed so your feet hit something soft and warm in the winter!
