My 4 year old has a cavity in her upper back molar. Since she could barely sit still for a routine cleaning, our pediatric dentist is suggesting something called Silver Diamine Flouride to STOP the cavity until they can properly fill it. They paint something on the tooth to stop the cavity. At this point, she'd have to be put under to fill it and I would prefer not to go that route. Has anyone used this Silver Diamine Flouride procedure on their LO?
darn genetics) and it's been great for stopping the progression of the cavities! The side affect is it turns them black which wouldn't be a big deal for molars. Ours are on his front teeth so it's more unfortunate, but worth the ability to prevent general anesthesia!
