This is kind of silly, but did you consider Mother's Day a holiday for YOU when you were pregnant?
With it coming up this weekend, I was thinking that I am technically a mom even though baby isn't here (or won't be for months). It's not like we're doing anything to celebrate it, but I love the idea of thinking of myself as a mama.

I'm considering myself a mom this year even though she won't be here until the end of the summer. Now that she's so active in there I feel a lot more connected to her.

We aren't celebrating or anything, but I do think of myself as a mama, mostly because I feel very connected and protective of her now that she's so big and wiggly in there

I didn't think of it as a holiday I'm included in, but my mom and grandmother sent me cards and I thought it was really sweet!

DH already quashed this for me since he said he didn't want to jinx anything by celebrating mothers day while I am pregnant. I agree with him, but I also feel like a mom already!

I celebrated while I was pregnant. We were out at lunch anyway and realized it was mother's day.

I had my son a week after Mother's Day last year, unfortunately we didn't celebrate it. I wish I'd have been more vocal of my feelings. This year I'm going to enjoy it!

my family got me gifts - baby gifts, a frame, maternity clothes. I didn't fully consider it my first mother's day though - I'm considering that this one, cause now LO is here!

When I was pregnant, I didn't WANT to celebrate myself as a mother just yet. It was more special to me the year after when I had LO with me.

I think i'm getting a gift and card from hubs, but i'm low man on the totem pole as far as choosing how we spend the day. My mom, his mom and my SIL rank higher

Hm. Nope. I'm not a mom yet. I don't celebrate mothers day with my step kids either.
