Ugh I hate them so much! I haven't had one in forever.
Are you eating enough protein? I remember hearing that not enough protein causes it. Might be a wild Korean wives tale though.

ughhh I've been getting them in my toes. usually I can catch the ones in my calves before they get bad by flexing my toes toward my calf, but I'm *sure* there'll be days soon where that doesn't work.

I've tried upping water intake, but that didn't do anything except make me pee more. Does adding protein/magnesium help? Only problem with the magnesium is that I don't eat nuts but I'm all for dark chocolate!

I get them all the time now!! It is awful! They wake me up in the middle of the night, and on Friday night it was so bad I almost started crying. Usually it is just in my right leg, but sometimes both. Oh, and the toe cramps... I used to get them when I would teach pilates (in another lifetime) and it was so embarrassing because my toe would look like it popped out of place. I am getting them again now, and my husband thought it was the weirdest thing, haha! PegEgg makes these toe separators (they sell them at CVS/Walgreens) that stretch out your toes and they are the best invention ever! It is the only thing that helps to keep toe cramps at bay.

I really haven't had these because I eat a banana a day or drink coconut water. Those have helped the most.

Mine always hit me in the middle of the night or first thing in the morning. I can feel it coming as soon as I stretch, it is awful and they always bring tears to my eyes. I have always heard it is because of dehydration but I feel like I am not dehydrated since I"m drinking so much water a day!
