@jojogirl: She did. I'm still waiting to O but she said I would get my BFP at the end of August/early September. Maybe that's why I'm so carefree this time around? I feel like whatever happens, happens. If she is wrong, I think I may take a month off. All the BDing gives me UTIs and I need a break.

@alison206: Ouch. In my desperation this week I may or may not have shelled out $10 for a reading too.. might keep it to myself though and report back after the fact about if she's right, ha ha.

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

@jojogirl: You aren't going to share what she said? Not fair! However, I am not putting much stock into it. It's not like I'm buying baby furniture because she said I'm going to get pregnant. More for fun, and just to see. I do have to admit, this cycle is looking a lot like my March (BFP) cycle except for my O date being off. I hope I O within the next 3 days. Then I'll be happy. I just want a normal cycle again.

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

Haha no I'm not putting any stock into it either, of course. Fine, she said this was our cycle too (starting in August and testing in September). I'm sure the marketing folks for CBEFM would agree with her!

@jojogirl: lol it's all such a game. I do feel like getting a reading from her reminded me that I have no control over when I'll O and if I'll get pregnant so to calm the F down. I will be kinded a ticked if she is wrong though.

@alison206: Hahahah that's the double-edged sword.. hope is good but disappointment stings. I find myself better off in the no-hope zone during the TWW, my symptoms magically disappeared that way. Gonna just assume she's wrong.

@alison206: Well, true. Part of the reason why I don't tell anyone that we're TTC is that I don't want helpful comments like that. I think that people hate seeing others stressed out, that's why they get the comment.

If Jenny Renny gets both you and @JoJoGirl right, I am sooooo getting a reading.

    @grace, @jojogirl, @alison206, dumb question, but I'm new so I think it's excused, but,who is Jenny Renny

  9. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

@jennkam: Jenny Denny is a conception psychic who a couple of us have used, more for fun.

Update from me: Tested (9DPO) with non-FMU (but after a several hour hold without consuming any water) and see something...but it looks like an invalid test. I showed it to my husband, who doesn't see anything, and to my WB friend, who does see something. I started spotting today, and my temp dipped, and I usually spot for 48 hrs before I start shark week, and my LP has ranged from 11-22 days, so...who knows. Testing in the morning and will update then.

@dharmainitiative: Sigh. Boo-urns on the spotting. I hope it's a fluke and the morning brings better news!

@Grace: thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Today when I have a chance I will go do that from my laptop

I can't reply to each person 'cause the thread went onto a new page & I'm on my phone, but thank you all for your help! What kind of thermometers are you guys using? I grabbed a cvs one the other day (I have another one, but I don't know where I put it lol), it takes forever! 60secs is an eternity in the am when you need to pee! Is yours less time?

I think we are out. Big temp dip this morning and a bfn. I think I am going to start this afternoon.

Guys woke up 2 hours early to use the restroom and temp was 97.05. Woke up 4 hours later and temp was 97.6. Which would you enter?

  16. sslm

    cantaloupe / 6397 posts

@alison206: tricky... I'd probably use one of those adjustment calculators and see what it says.

  17. Shutterbug

    grapefruit / 4703 posts

@alison206: maybe 97.3? Split the difference?

  18. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

@sslm @Rachel: both great ideas! The adjusted gave me 97.00 which I don't like. I entered the earlier temp however if temps continue to rise I think ill change it. I do like your temp though Rachel.

  19. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@April_Showers: That's not a huge dip. Hang in there.

@alison206: Which time is closest to the time you usually take it?

  20. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

jojogirl: 97.05 was the closest to my normal time. That's the one I entered.

  21. Grace

    cantaloupe / 6730 posts

@April_Showers: Oh boo! Your chart looked so pretty!
@alison206: Bummer. I'd probably use the first one, but in the grand scheme of things, one day's temp probably doesn't matter.

  22. ladybee

@jojogirl: I just did something I regret. I contacted ANOTHER psychic. What a waste of money! The only good outcome would be that her and Jenny Renny both tell me the same thing and it comes true. Ugh.

  23. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@alison206: Hahahah, oh dear. Step away from the internet, Alison! Honestly I think I realized this weekend the only way for me to manage the anxiety of the unknown here is to throw myself into something productive and goal-oriented that's NOT ttc... I'm starting Crossfit this week and contemplating how to really move my career forward.. if I can focus my energy on other things, I think it'll help me worry a little less and make these damn 2 week blocks go by more quickly. It doesn't make me want it less, but at least maybe assist in the "don't wish the time away" thing.

Either way - you'll have to tell me what she says

  24. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

@jojogirl: that's a great idea! I go back to work after next week so I think that'll reduce the anxiety for me. When we got pregnant in March I was so focused on losing weight that I didn't notice till my period was late so maybe I'll join you!

@jojogirl and @alison206, I just read all of the posts on this board and I totally feel for you. I'm only on my second month of charting but I'm on my fifth month of trying. We just finished the ovulation/get busy period and my POAS will be the end of this month. I'm sending all of my good wishes your way. It's hard doing this cycle of hope and disappointment each month.

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

@ambular1025: its a disappointing journey for sure but the support from everyone here is helpful. I find charting helpful and it brings a sense of control to the whole thing. Welcome to the TWW! Fingers crossed for you!

@jojogirl ive put on approx 15 pounds since our wedding two years ago. Id like to be down 10 in a perfect world but would settle for 5 before getting our BFP. I think ill start tomorrow. Tune in for my current weight in the am!

  28. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Alison206 I also have about 15 lbs I'd like to lose. I work so much it's hard to get exercise in, but I know it would be better to get the pounds off before baby. Are you going to diet, exercise or a combo of both?

  29. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

@ambular1025: I'm going to diet and say walking with weights. I'm horrible at exercising but great at dieting because I fixate. I'm always nervous to try something new while TTC just incase.

  30. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@alison206: Okay I weighed myself this morning too! My official count is up 8 lbs since my wedding 15 months ago. I don't necessarily want to get down that far again (it may have been toooo low) but I wouldn't mind losing 5 or 6 and putting on some muscle.

  31. Grace

Crosshairs on CD14?? This has never happened to me before. May have to go faint now....

  32. JoJoGirl

@Grace: I just stalked your chart and saw that!!!! How exciting!

  33. Grace

    cantaloupe / 6730 posts

@JoJoGirl: It is! Have you started the monitor yet?

  34. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

@jojogirl: Ok, weigh in not as bad as expected. Setting all things TTC and baby aside, I'd like to lose 10 pounds. Like you, I don't want to get too low, but I'd like to fit into more than 1 pair of jeans. I will focus on that and if I get pregnant in the mean time, I hope to be down atleast 3 pounds before I get my BFP. I can not start pregnancy weighing the most I've ever weighed!

@grace: Yay! Hopefully my body catches on to what yours is doing and we can be TWW buddies! How exciting, CD14 is pretty prefect!

@Rachel: that is a nice looking chart lady!

@sslm: Just checking in! I hope you're doing great!

    @April_Showers: AF show up?

  35. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@Grace: Unofficially yes! Meaning I had to tell it when CD1 was, ha ha. I think I start peeing on sticks CD6, which is tomorrow (it feels so weird when I'm not peeing on sticks.....). But it's going to be a ton of sticks to pee on since I'm not expecting any readings other than low til like CD15.

  36. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@alison206: Yes, that's the other thing... if we weren't TTC my goal would be to get my bodyfat % way down, but I know that's not necessarily conducive to conceiving. So I want to get it down a little bit

  37. sslm

    cantaloupe / 6397 posts

@alison206: aww thanks for checking in! I'm kinda laying low right now bc I am totally terrified. For no legitimate reason... Anyhow I'm really nauseous and tired. I have my first midwife appointment on Wednesday and an u/s some time next week.

Everyone should now I am still stalking all of your charts even though I don't post much!!

  38. Grace

    cantaloupe / 6730 posts

    @alison206: Any day now, Lady!
@sslm: I hope the ultrasound next week will alleviate some of the terror. Is there a chance that you'll hear a heartbeat or will it still be too early?

  39. sslm

    cantaloupe / 6397 posts

@Grace: I'll be almost 9 weeks do we should definitely see, and possibly hear something! That should help with the anxiety for sure :). With my mc we saw a HB at 7 weeks but were only measuring 6 weeks, and HB was low. At 8.5 weeks we were still measuring 6 and no HB. That's why we're freaking out!!

@alison206: Nope...No AF. But I did see this, this morning. Is it an Evap line or a Postive...I have myself convinced that its an Evap.

ETA: Wow thats a big pic...Well I could see the line on my phone.
