@alison206: I'd say mark it and just start testing in a day or two; it's the only way you'll know!

@jojogirl: right after my mc I owed at 30 but last cycle was 23 and they've been getting shorter.
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@alison206: Yup, just say it's ovulation and if it turns into a BFP, it'll be a fantabulous surprise! ....and then we'll all start second-guessing this charting thing.
pear / 1974 posts
so... 13 dpo, negative with FMU early this morning, no temp drop yet. Kind of considering myself out!
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@grace Lol I would recommend charting. If I knew what my temps did this morning I'd know if af was coming.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Alison206: That's exactly why I don't think I could stop charting now. But I'm really hoping for you that the spotting means baby. How great would that be?!
@Chibee: Don't count yourself out yet...there's still a chance.
pear / 1974 posts
@Ambular1025: hard to have hope at this point! I feel like it's going ot be one of those situations where my period will be very late, keeping me in suspense for no good reason.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Chibee: I've had those. AF is kind of evil sometimes. But it could mean that your LP is getting longer, which will make it more likely for you to get pregnant and keep a sticky baby, so try to see whatever positive you can.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
Well I still have a dime size amount of bloody CM an hour. I don't feel crampy or PMSy but I have bad feeling it's my period.
pear / 1974 posts
major cramps for me right now and i'm pretty sure i'm spotting. on to cycle 3!
pear / 1974 posts
@Ambular1025: thanks! You've been a big support through the TWW. Gotta admit, i'm pretty bummed. As much as I want to say that I knew it wasn't my month, couldn't help but hope for that BFP you know? Oh well. Maybe time things better next time? Considering the CBEFM.... am I jumping the gun a bit?
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Chibee: Exactly. Much better luck next time! I got the CBEFM cycle 4 and started using it cycle 5 only because it got delivered late, and I have loved it! It really helps you feel confident in knowing you've done everything you could to make a baby happen even when you get a BFN. I'd definitely recommend it if you can afford it.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
WTH! Red bleeding has picked up this morning. Looks like AF. I'm upset and angry. A 29 day cycle? We weren't even DTD when I would have ovulated because I have 35+ day cycles. I know we were taking this month off but I still would have loved a BFP.
Would you call your doctor to discuss how inconsistent my cycles have been? 42, 37 and now 29? Even before MC and on BC I never had anything less that 31. I'm not even upset enough to cry, I'm plain 'ol angry.
@chibee: I understand how upsetting AF is. Next cycle will be my first cycle with my CBEFM and I really hope it works. Hang in there and if you really want one check around on Ebay.
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@alison206: Oh! Geez, I wonder if there's something in the air - everyone's been seeing her early. It's positive that the cycles are getting shorter though? I mean 29 days is a damn near regular cycle. My guess is that your dr will probably say "it's just regulating blah blah blah", buy it wouldn't hurt to ask, especially if it will make you feel a bit better. I'm really sorry your month off wasn't as good as you'd hoped. Hugs.
@chibee: Oh bummer. Sorry.
Pressure's on ladies! There's no TWW's to stalk!!!
pear / 1974 posts
Thanks guys. Just waiting for AF to rear its head full force at this point.
@alison206: what the heck! Would you have known AF was around the corner if you were charting? That is odd, it really couldn't hurt to ask the doctor for his opinion at least. On the upside - now you get to use your CBEFM sooner than you thought?

Hi Everyone!! I'm new to charting and we just begun our TTC journey so I thought I'd join this thread. I'm learning so much on these boards it's ridiculous!
________________________________________
How long have you been charting? I charted the first part of August but unexpected schedule changes occured and we didn't get to really start TT (missed my most fertile days, DH was out of town!) so I stopped temping. I have been paying attn to stuff like CM and charting AF. Today is my first official day of temping/charting again.
TTC Cycle: Cycle 2. I didn't chart/temp in Sept and kind of guessed based on vague dates on FF. AF came 4 days EARLY.. so no go. Still hoping to POAS by Oct 31st Seems like an Early AF this month is a trend around here!
Where are you from? So. California
Any kids already? No kids, 1 dog
Burning charting question: This is a weird one but I haven't come across this on the boards so far. Do you temp orally or vaginally? I am doing oral temping just because I didn't want to "go there" quite yet, but is vaginally more accurate?
grapefruit / 4703 posts
@kpow: yay hi! Do you have a link to your chart?
I temp orally - I think vaginally is better if you're a mouth breather (maybe?)
clementine / 957 posts
@Rachel I'm not sure how to post a link from FF. When I link it does it show all my info..?
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@grace: I am happy my cycles are getting shorter. I would love to stay at a 29 day cycle. Hopefully early AF means good things for everyone!! I would love for all of us to get BFPs together!
@chibee: I don't think I would have known even if I was charting. I took my temp yesterday and today and it actually went up today. I don't typically get a dip with my period. However, I am going back to charting tomorrow!
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@kpow: I do orally. It works so i don't mess with it. The link is found under Sharing and view codes (I think).
@alison206: That would be so much fun, but I'm not going to think about it, because I still want to be super happy if you guys get one and I don't.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@grace: you're always so upbeat and positive for everyone else, so I will be for you! This could be your month!
Well I'm back, entered my first temp today! My temp was high for me (97.6) which is like post O high so we will see what happens.
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@alison206: Lol - I have such low hopes for me that I have to transfer them to everyone else! I'm glad you're back though! I missed you!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Alison206: So glad you're back! Yay I can follow your temps again.
@Grace: I get that low hopes feeling, but I still am super hopeful for you each month!
To you both, I hope we all get BFP's together soon, including @Rachel and @Spaniellove. @Jojogirl beat us to it, so us "oldies" lol should stick together.
I think you guys have all been great mentors to me in this journey and I hope we continue to be good mentors to the newbies, if we end up stuck in the TTC section forever or not.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@ambular1025: good god I hope we aren't TTCers forever! EEk! Isn't that funny how we have no hope for ourselves but all the hope in the world for each other!
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@ambular1025: I don't think you know how much i WISH we'd all gotten BFPs the same month!! I feel all left out in here, ha ha. Backwards I know. And now that your inverse TWW is out, @Grace is all bored!! Haha! I know it's coming soon for all of you guys.
ETA: @ambular: i spy a "high" reading!!!
grapefruit / 4703 posts
@ambular1025: @alison206: @Grace: @JoJoGirl: @Spaniellove: love you guys! Seriously, keeping me sane these days!
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@Rachel aw thanks! I feel the same way about you girls. Sometimes, well most of the time really, you guys are the only ones you understand the roller coaster of ttc.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@jojogirl: I know you wish the best for all of us (heck you're always rooting me on) and we all wish we were on this baby journey with you, but hopefully soon. You may end up being our pregnancy mentor too!
@Alison206: I hope we aren't here forever either, but your comment about being so hopeful for others and not ourselves is totally true!
@Rachel: You are totally right! We couldn't get through this without each other and I am so lucky to have all of you to turn to. My hubby says I spend more time on HB now than with him haha.

Hey Charters! Well, I don't know what to make of this cycle!! Even FF is confused and has given me dotted crosshairs!! Last month was my first cycle off BCP so, when I O'd on CD22, I thought nothing of it, really. My body had shown signs of O twice on the run up - like it was trying to O but not quite managing it.....
This time cycle 2, being my first cycle post m/c, I didn't know what to expect, so I started using OPKs CD9. I've used them twice a day since then and not had a positive - but my temps have only gone and shown a clear thermal shift at CD 16, indicating O at CD 15! Looking back over my notes, I had what I thought was EWCM and cramping the day before and a temp dip the morning of O day but I thought it was just false alarms, like last month and, because the OPKs weren't positive, I didn't initiate the BD marathon! ARGH! We BD'd 2 days before O, so there is hope.... but still!
So, yeah, I've gone from "waiting to O" to "almost half way through the TWW" in the space of a day. Sigh. I suppose at least this means my cycles are a normal length (I really didn't want 5 week cycles) and I get to try again next cycle. Humph.
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@Ali: oh, bummer! I'd stay in the watch for fertile CM just in case this is a weird blip on the chart, though.
papaya / 10570 posts
@Grace: Yeah, I am on CM watch but I do think that was O.... Sigh. Still, 2 days before O isn't terrible timing, we can just wait and hope. Really don't think it's my month, though....
papaya / 10570 posts
Meh! Now i'm really confused. Decided to do an OPK - and it's positive!! My temps showed I O'd 4 days ago! I just put this new info into FF and it revoked my crosshairs!! So now I have no idea!!!! Darn my wonkyness!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Ali: That has to be frustrating. I would've said O on CD 13 with temps, but I guess we should trust OPK over anything else. If it's positive now then get your BD on!
nectarine / 2522 posts
Hi fellow Charters!! I'm new to this charting business..so any advice would be great!!
How long have you been charting? 3 days...lol. This is my first month charting. I thought I'd give it a go along with OPK's.
TTC Cycle: Cycle 3 ( hopefully 3rd times a charm!) I got kinda sick of ;guessing when I was O'ing so I thought I'd give it a shot!
Where are you from? Australia
Any kids already? Nope but 2 fur babies.
Burning charting question: I probably have like a million..but ironically I can't think of any right now!
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@hanzabelle: I think you'll like charting and the information it'll give you!! glad you are joining us!
@jojogirl @ambular1025: I got a H on CD 6. Is that weird? I wasn't expecting that. It seems really soon.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Alison206: I got that last cycle, and it's really common on your first cycle using the monitor, as it doesn't have anything to reference. Don't worry. You just probably won't get a peak for at least 4 days, or could be longer.
To everyone: I'm determined that something is wrong with me this cycle! I should have had a peak on the monitor this morning (it has always happened day 12) and I got a high...which would be no big deal, but my temp went up .3 anyway and I woke up 45 mins early! And when I woke up again an hour after my normal temp time (I always do it at 6am) it had gone up another .4! So annoying that temps point to O but monitor doesn't.
