@Grace: I totally agree. I temp if I wake up early and then my normal time and I keep both in the notes in FF. It helps me decide to adjust a temp later if I need to. Your chart looks great!
@kpow: Great temps still...looking good!
@ladybee: Still liking not temping in the TWW???
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@marionberry: I do like it. A lot less stress and disappointment. However I have a feeling this isn't our month so I'm looking at the silver lining of being on a normal cycle again.

@grace: Your chart is looking really good! Getting excited for you.
@ladybee: Why don't you think this is your cycle?! Jenny Renny predicted it to be your cycle didn't she?
pomelo / 5041 posts
@grace: Oh bummer, but the day before was good too. I'll be curious to see what tomorrow's looks like.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@marionberry: I don't know, I just don't feel like it took or that there is any hope even though Jenny and Cherri both said October. It'll probably still hurt when AF shows up but at least the excitement and the symptom spotting won't be there.
BFN at 10dpo. I'll try again Wednesday.

Good morning--anyone else feeling storm Sandy in their area? It's just rainy now, but they're telling us to prepare for strong winds and possible power outages. We lose power ALL the time in this town! My parents live two hours away, and they have a generator, so it's tempting to pack it up and head their way. I have a big deadline tomorrow that will be impossible to meet without power. This storm is crazy!

@mrssquirreld: Usually 2-3 days after ovulation. I think you don't have yours yet because you're just now getting up to some of your pre-o temps. Once you stay up for a few more days you should definitely get some.

11dpo and BFN
I don't know why but I am so down this cycle. Like 0 hope for a BFP.
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@ladybee: I'm sorry. Maybe you hoped more in the psychics than you thought? But regardless, it's still just 11 dpo. This could still be your month AND this is going to happen for you!!!! Hugs.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@grace: I think my issue is that I don't feel any symptoms. Like none which allows me to not build up my hope. Maybe it's better this way? Less disappointment in the end? As always, thanks for being so upbeat for me I know it'll happen for all of us!

@chibee: I'm worried about you being where you are. When you get a chance can you let us know you're okay? Or just wall me? Did you actually stay at your house or end up having to leave?
Sorry to threadjack all, I just wanted to make sure she saw this. @chibee lives in an area that got hit really hard by Sandy and it just kept worrying me!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@ladybee: Jenny Renny is predicting this to be my cycle, so I get wanting it to be this one..even though we said we didn't believe in their predictions. But @grace is right....11dpo is still early. Wait a few more days. There's always hope!
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@spaniellove: I didn't know, @chibee, please let us know you're okay!!
@marionberry: We shall see!! Side note, the other person was taken out of the competition this month if you get what I'm saying!! Maybe that's it, I have competition so maybe the idea of it made me shut down?
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@ladybee: Hmm. I think I'm opposite. When I have no symptoms, I keep thinking that it might be it ('cause lots of women have no symptoms before their BFP). So, right now I am pessimistic because I'm bloated and have weird pains, so I keep thinking stupid AF is screwing with me.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@grace: I was bloated with cramping my first BFP so fingers crossed for you! We have to cheer each other on!
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@ladybee: I like that plan. You be excited for me and I'll be excited for you!

@Mrs squirreld: for me it's been 3+ days after O day. Sometimes your chart isn't clear enough for FF to detect it until 5, 6 or 7 DPO. Had a friend with a super slow rise that changed detection settings to research and found she had O'ed and was already 10 DPO!
clementine / 957 posts
I was (and still am) absolutely bloated with weird cramps (they switch sides all day!) Fingers crossed for all you ladies!

@kpow: literally just checked your chart and was going to @ reply to you to check in! Still looking good!
ETA: I totally missed that you're pregnant!! Update that chart, lady!

@grace: My last cycle was 28 days last cycle (which would be today this cycle) however, I O'd on CD 17 and I typically have a 13 day LP so my guess I'm due on Nov 1st. If I don't get my period on Thursday I will allow myself to be excited on Friday when I test
nectarine / 2522 posts
So I got my CH's but why are they on a day I got a negative OPK? If I have a 30 day cycle my LP is only going to be 7 days
pomelo / 5041 posts
@mrssquirreld: It's always going to be after a positive OPK but I think because you put 2 days in of positive OPK's that's why it pushed it out a day. Try taking off the second positive OPK and I bet it puts your crosshairs back a day, which is where I think you O'd.
nectarine / 2522 posts
@marionberry: lol I put the second positive there to try and get it to move
Sigh... It's all so confusing. Unless my cycle is longer than 30 I'm out... 7 days isn't long enough!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@mrssquirreld: Were you on the pill before? Cycles change and get longer if you were. If not, then after this month and next you'd have enough info to ask about fixing a short luteal phase with your doctor...which is usually just progesterone I think.
nectarine / 2522 posts
@marionberry: but in saying that my cycles have been all over the place with this other new medication I'm on.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@mrssquirreld: It could definitely be the medication. Have you googled it and read the side effects? Or talked to your doctor about it?
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@ladybee: Booooooooooooooooo. Bad temp!
I don't know how accurate mine temp is. My alarm clock has lost it's mind and gone off at 4:45 AM for the past two days. Yesterday the time on the clock said 6PM and so did the alarm. Last night it said 1AM for both. And yet, it's been 4:45AM iPhone time both times. My clock is possessed!!!!!!!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@grace: but your temps are up, and if you're waking early it means they'd likely be higher. I'm liking this chart of yours! Are you testing soon?
@ladybee: I'm sorry. Are you regretting my advice now?
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@grace: that's crazy! Maybe it's playing a Halloween trick on you?!
@marionberry: ha yes and no. I'm so sad, and I will probably cry tonight when I get home. However I'm glad I know. My hopes would have been up when I didn't wake up with AF.
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@marionberry: Ah, but I'm not temping at the earlier time. So, if anything, they are artificially high because I woke up and then went back to sleep. Yeeaaah, not testing yet. Too scared.

Hey ladies, I'm kinda new to the TTC group.
I suppose technically we're not trying not to conceive, but I have been starting to learn how to chart.
I do have a question about taking your temp. Do any of you take your temp orally? and what's the difference? I know Fertility friend had an option for orally so that's kind of what I've been doing.
clementine / 957 posts
@.twist.: I took my temp orally and was a little hesitant since I do know I snore a little and can sleep with my mouth open, but I thought I'd try it for a month and see if my temps were somewhat consistent. It worked out for me.
pineapple / 12802 posts
@kpow: thanks! I wasn't really sure if it got the best results. I've only done it two days so I'll have to see if it's consistent for me too.
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@.twist.: I do it orally. Not to keen on trying out the other method. Sounds messy.
