@Mrs. Confetti: 18-23 months were the hardest months for me in Noelle's entire life! So much so that I distinctly remember how hard that age range was. I thought I just had an early start to the "terrible twos", but once she entered the 2's everything improved!

some of these fit my 18-month old (almost 18-months to the day!). she does tantrum easily and she needs lots of outlets for her energy. she gets frustrated often and shows her frustration through tantrumming.

however, she shows lots of compassion (for adults and babies), DEFINITELY is motivated by words, follows instructions, and does not use "no" very often. she is able to wait for what she wants sometimes (if I tell her to be patient, she will wait quietly ), and is really great at sharing with kids her own age.

My LO is 17.5 months old, 16 months adjusted and he loves the word "no" but he follows instructions. BUT he has limitless energy and does tantrum when he gets frustrated.

J is just over 20 months and doesn't fit the 18m description, he seems to fit the 2 year description better. However he has always been really good at sharing and never protested- it's kind of odd. I feel like I'm still waiting for him to get defiant about sharing.

He's been a pretty easy going toddler for the most part, the hardest though is the whining. He doesn't have many tantrums or fits but a lot of clingy whiny behavior.

He is also quite affectionate- but one descriptions was treating people as objects- that's so him. He likes to create games that involve us as toys. For example he'll come to me while I'm sitting in the floor and just push me over for no reason, then offer his hand and "help" me up. The he will push me again just so he can help me and he thinks it is the funniest thing.
