My son was born 12/16. He was due 12/10, but since we were in Europe and the dates are written day/month, I was hoping he arrived 12/12 or later, lol.

I actually love having a Christmas time baby, it gives us an excuse to keep things simple!

We have a Thanksgiving baby! 11/26. Nov and Dec are my favorite time of year so I love it!

My cousin's bday is on 12/27. Poor kid gets his bday lumped in with Christmas every year. He doesn't seem to mind though.

12.19 baby girl born last year. I was a little sad at first, but I am now fully embracing her December birthday. It makes the holiday season do much more special! FIL has a December 26 birthday but he doesn't like celebrating since everyone is tired after Christmas, I'm as LO is during the season and not after (:

My nephew was born 12/26. Going to be 4 this year.

I'm two days after Christmas. I always liked it as a kid b/c I would feel sad Christmas was over, but my birthday was right around the corner! Bdays are pretty low key in my family anyway, and if I wanted a party, I would have it in Feb. or some time after the holidays.

My mom loved having a newborn at that time. All cozy inside the house with a new baby.

My hubby has a 12/26 birthday and it was never an issue for him growing up because nobody celebrates Christmas in his native country. Here, though, he gets sad because he loves birthdays and it's pretty much impossible to have a big celebration for him on or close to his actual birthday -- nobody is ever around and those who are, are still busy with family stuff. The lead-up to the holidays is too hectic to put together a good party, and people want time to recuperate afterward so the likelihood of getting people on board for yet another party is slim until sometime in January. We don't even have particularly difficult friends, this is just the reality of a holiday birthday.

Our LO is due 12/21 and I'm hoping he or she comes early or late. Either way, birthday parties will be tricky but the closer to Christmas Day, the harder it is, IMO.

LO was born 12/31 but wasn't due til 1/28, so we were not expecting a holiday baby. I am not sure how I really feel about it. I don't mind it, we never really did anything on NYE so now we will celebrate more. But not sure how it will all work out with family and stuff being able to be around for birthdays since they live out of town.

I was due Christmas Eve last year, I ended up delivering 12/21. It felt like such a special time to bring a baby home with all the lights. She was the perfect gift:)

@rachiecakes: when we found out the due date, the first thing DH said was "ooh, do you think maybe you can just wait a few days and I'll have the best birthday present ever?" It was cute but I had to break it to him that a) it's not really up to me, and b) if he still says that when I'm 40+ weeks along, I might not be responsible for my actions...

My nephew will be 3 on christmas day this year. MY sil woke up with contractions on christmas morning, and her son was born at 11.40pm, she said she tried to keep her legs closed until midnight but she was being told to push! His last 2 birthday partys have been on the 26th but lots of people have plans this year so she's going to have his party on the 21st.

We're due with our first on the 22nd. I'm really excited about it and love this time of year and think it will be fun to bring a baby home with all the decorations and lights. However, I'm really tired of everyone's first reaction when I tell them our due date being something about it being the worst time to have a baby and the "poor baby" it's just annoying at this point!

Like @mrsmenow my son's birthday is Dec. 21. I was expecting him in January so it was a nice surprise. I love Christmas! The first one was a total blur but they just get better and better now!

LO will turn 1 in 12/24, Christmas Eve! He shares a birthday with SIL and is the day after my mom. We're pushing the party back to January to make it easier on everyone's schedules.

@PurplePeony: That was my due date with our Christmas Evevbaby!

My EDD is the first week of January, which means baby COULD be born on Christmas. I think it would be kind of special.
