Christmas Eve! We have a big family party with the in-laws and it's really fun. We always have a bunco tournament and everyone buys in so if you win, you get about $75! Everyone gets super intense about it so it's a lot of fun. Lots of yelling at each other, haha.

Christmas day... mainly because of the presents. HAHAHA. I didn't have any traditions growing up (1st gen Viet-Am), and the in-laws' only tradition is dinner on Christmas Eve followed by long games of Trivial Pursuit (from the 80s).

Christmas Eve!! The whole family is together for church, appetizer dinner, and then the madhouse of gifts. Then we play with with the kids and their new toys. All up way past their bedtime but are so excited about Christmas.

Christmas Eve. It's got a great feel to it. almost romantic, but also lots of fun, anticipation, family and FOOD. We have the 7 fishes and a lot of the foods we have we only have on christmas eve, so it makes it even more special.

Both. It just depends on what day my family celebrates for the year, but I love all of our little traditions.

Both if we are with my family because we have great traditions for both days that I always look forward to them. Neither if we are with DHs family because it's pretty much just another day. They don't have any traditions for those days and don't typically do a big family meal or presents. They do have a big party on New Year's Eve and we burn a muneca which is always fun.

Ah I can't choose I love both!! Christmas eve is when we do the big family gathering and then the quiet midnight service at church, all of which I love! Christmas day is the laid back, immediately family day which I also love!

Eve. As kids, we would always go to Mass on Christmas Eve. Sometimes go to the neighbor's house for snacks and then come home and open gifts from our aunt and uncle. After that, we would play a game, have hot chocolate and get ready for the big day.
My favorite Christmas Eve was the year we went in for Mass and it was chilly, but clear out. When we came out, there was snow on the ground and it was still coming down. It was so magical!!

I woudl have to say Christmas Eve, it's at my parent's with my immediate family. The kids all wear matching PJs, we open gifts, eat snacky foods, and just laugh and drink and have fun.

Eve because that's when we all exchange gifts and since we're never home for Christmas, we get to open our gifts then also!
